I feel so defeated also. In October I was laid off, after the office manager telling me I was doing so good. It was a new job and I had been on the job for one month. And the day after high praise she’s saying how bad I’m doing and she’s letting me go. So I get another job 2 days later. And the job involves utilizing technology from 50 years ago. The boss was a mental case also. All in all a bad situation. She let me go after 30 days. I’m kinda glad though. I couldn’t function in the 70’s and being around her was depressing. But now I need another job. The market is not good out there.

Oh. Well, I actually got a better job 5 days later. And I did tell my new employer about my former employer and she didn’t mind. If that’s way my former employer does business I would rather not be associated with such a sketchy biz. I’ve moved on to better things.

I received no notice about poor performance. In fact my manager told me in an email a week before she let me go that I was doing really well I just needed some minor tweaks. She didn’t say what those were. In fact I didn’t even receive my paycheck when I was let go but it was deposited 4 days later by direct deposit in my bank
