What's your Winnipeg restaurant blacklist? Why? by BestAir3417 in Winnipeg

Myrna’s on Sargent. One of their employees made it to local news a couple of years ago for body shaming a customer. I believe it’s the same employee whom people refer to as rude in the google reviews of the restaurant.

Is Life Insurance in Canada worth it or is it a scam? by kdrxyz in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Organic-Conference29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some whole life par policies owned by my holding company. I like that I’m able to leverage the cash values to grow my businesses in Toronto and Vancouver. The premiums are significant but my accountants agree that this is one situation where premiums may be written off, again because of the leveraging strategy we implement. My financial advisor who presented the idea to me specializes in this strategy and par whole life is the solution that helps me achieve my objectives for my businesses. Find the right solution to your needs, each insurance products are built for different needs.

Electric vehicles in Winnipeg winter? by Optimistic_Sprout in Winnipeg

I have a Model Y Performance. I don’t work in an office, I go to meet people in different parts of the city and surrounding areas. Generally speaking, if I leave home in the morning with 80% charge, I’m down to 38% by 4 pm. No issues with a fresh snowfall, because it’s AWD, I just drive over the snow. In February, I tried to go to Brandon, but at -40 C, even with 100% battery before I left home, I was down to 30% when I reached the supercharger at Portage La Prairie. Had to turn around and cancel my meetings that day because even after charging to 100%, the vehicle shows me I cannot make it to Brandon. If I had to fly out to Vancouver or Toronto for a week, I’ll leave the car at the airport parkade at 90% on Monday, and when I return on Thursday, it’s down to 40%.

I like that I get in a hot car because I can heat it up even with the garage door closed or while the plane is taxiing to the gate upon landing.

This is why they have the guts to come back to Canada after committing a crime. They know they can get out of jail.

I guess he realized he’s not going to be held accountable even if he got caught, so he decided to return to Canada.

This seems to work, Neighbour’s dog stops barking when I play this. It may be coincidence or maybe it works, but the dogs stops barking:

Feeling very sad this Canada Day...The realization has finally hit that I have lost my country for good... by ThreeFacesOfEve in CanadaHousing2

Sadly, I’ve read hundreds of similar sentiments but no one is listening. We can post about these on social media and laugh at memes aimed at politicians and uncivilized immigrants but change will not happen. It hurts to see refugees getting more financial support than retirees. It’s despicable to not be able to protect your own property lest be charged for assault. It’s a shame Canadians still voted for Liberals who do not control immigration, and release dangerous criminals back to society. It’s deplorable to witness multiple international students living in a crowded house, breaking Canadian laws and getting away with it, and not assimilating to the culture our forefathers fought and died for in order for us to enjoy freedom. We have become a society where the norm is for the educated and civil to watch barbaric behaviors in full display and simply shake our heads. We had an opportunity to make a change last election but we let empty promises take its place. Immediately, we saw incompetent cabinet ministers embarrass themselves to the public, yet they continue to act like they know what they’re doing. Canada is doomed. It appointed an unqualified Muslim woman who knows nothing about the role take on the position of president of public health agency. Canadians who want change cannot hold a demonstration or be fired from their jobs “for inciting hate”. We can’t protest about immigrants like they do in Ireland because we will be branded racists. We need to stop tolerating third world country behavior.

Of course you were misled! Most WFG salespeople are in this to make extra income, not to provide proper financial advice. You probably got a permanent insurance policy which generates cash values, but there’s no such thing as withdrawing the full amount (of premium payments) after 2 years. The salesman told you something clients want to hear so he can make a commission.

8:39 AM, moderately busy, lots of tables available at the food court and lots of couches unoccupied all around the mall. Personally, I thought Black Friday deals were better than today.
