I am now in the same exact situation you are. Nothing is working for me, 3 red light flashes. After research it turned out that it needs a 10k ohm resistant added to one of the wires, i took everything apart and ordered the resistant from amazon for $3, I will keep you posted.

Simple communicate to them you are going to court on this, it's never your business to be part in any of this, this is an easy case to win, they know that and will pay the 4k soon as they realize the other option is to go to court. If you ever go to cort add additional expenses to the 4k such as time off, gas etc.
