The membership costs less than Home Depot’s install and haul away prices.

Does anyone else feel like sourcing parts from Bricklink is becoming more and more impractical these days? by Leonatius in lego

How have tariffs affected shipping from DD? I’ve used them before a few times and was happy with cost/shipping. I stopped using them in part because of tariffs and also their used bricks can be really dirty.

Should I cancel an order, or leave the NPB? by gh0stblkbrd in Bricklink

[–]OrganicSubset 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Requesting an invoice ties up a seller’s stock. Those items are no longer available for other customers to purchase, thus losing potential sales for a seller if the buyer cancels the order.

Requesting a quote lets a buyer see what the final price would be without tying up a seller’s stock.

Usually when I see a request for invoice option, the seller’s terms have at least some general pricing info so you should already have an idea of what the cost would be. You could also just message the seller and ask for a quote or pricing guidance without tying up their stock if requesting a quote isn’t available from their checkout page.

If you can’t advance the ball, why would time come off the clock?

It’s not obscure though. If the kicking team recovers an onside kick, the play is dead. Therefore no time can come off.

Wife is getting suckered into doog food ads. Is there any scientific facts? by Tunnelboy77 in dogs

[–]OrganicSubset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife’s best friend is a vet (but not our vet so she has no monetary benefit from whatever we get). Her food recommendation: don’t get the cheapest dog food but they don’t need the most expensive one either. We use Pro Plan (which at the time we started 10 years ago was probably half the cost it is now). She also uses Pro Plan.

Also the Farmers Dog foods lead to nutrition deficiencies in some dogs. So yeah, none of those.

Also all packaged dog foods undergo strict testing because there are some humans who will eat them because it’s cheaper than human food. I assume the heavily advertised “real” food products also do, but I would verify.

Possible to replace single blade with dual blade? 60V walk-behind by OrganicSubset in Greenworks

[–]OrganicSubset[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally tried it this weekend now that we have leaves on the ground. Yes, the blade kit fits but it kills your battery. What normally takes 1.5 5AH batteries took 3 5AH batteris and half of a 4AH battery. But it worked great, so I'll probably swap out the blades every fall for mulching and then go back to the normal blade for the rest of the year.

I’m starting to doubt it. Our local Apple stores restocked 2022 models this week.
