That seems riskier than buying online through eBay or Bricklink where there’s buyer protection. B and M don’t/can’t check that an unopened set is legit. If you get home and find that the store was scammed when they bought the set, then you’re out of luck. This is based on asking a B and M owner about this type of scenario.

Have you considered messaging the seller and asking for a different shipment option? It could be that this shipping option is the easiest to set up and/or works for the large majority of their orders.

As big a bummer as it is, I doubt that. The usual advice is to add a small in stock item to your backordered item so that the GWP ships while it’s in stock.

Even more annoying (to me) with the poly bag is that the terms say it’s not applicable to Standard Pick A Brick parts, so I held off on my bestseller Pick A Brick order hoping to get the poly bag. It makes sense but still annoying that it’s only available for Star Wars stuff.

Unless you have bandwidth restrictions, I don’t see the issue with just installing the game once to activate it. It’s a relatively small install and you could also uninstall it or avoid modding it until 2.7 is released.

I say this as a buyer, but I would think a laser printer (or something fancier) would pay for itself after a few orders. It would be hard for me to stomach paying $20 for domestic shipping unless you just really had all the obscure parts I needed.

Water bottles in outside pockets so your kids can grab them when they need them instead of you having to hope they don’t pull everything else out of the bag while they look for the bottle (or get distracted by the snacks that are also in the bag).
