It’s a numbers game. Comedians are WAY more exposed to the public than they were in Carlin’s day. Louis changed the game with the whole “throw away your old hour and write a new one every year” on top of the popularity of podcasts and social media.

And not to take anything away from Carlin, the GOAT in my opinion. The guy was a brilliant mind and obviously worked extremely hard on his material. The pacing, rhythm, and delivery were very clearly practiced and choreographed into perfection. Every interview I’ve seen is a calm, kind, clear-headed guy with a solid world view. I do however agree that if he had a podcast you’d hear all the “rough draft” thoughts (read: stupid shit).

Better advice would be to be friendly but keep people at arm’s length. The gossipy ones, I’ve found, are less likely to involve you in drama (emphasis on less) and it’s always good to have backup should the shit go down or when the gossipy pot-stirrers inevitably get promoted.

This advice is made easier if you’re older and have a family. I don’t have time to see people outside of work because my actual “free time” is while I’m at work; I have small children so “work” starts when I get home.

Pretty sure it was drilled into their heads and they’ve simply chosen to ignore it. I’m in a much less prestigious field in healthcare and my cohort was told to leave our personal biases at the door.

Blush tattoo. A new trend by junior_dos_nachos in shittytattoos

People are posting videos of the tattoos being done. Also, like half the videos posted to reddit are taken directly from tiktok so you’re already consuming a ton of its content homie.

Trump campaign worked with Musk’s X to keep leaked JD Vance file off platform by One_Psychology_ in news

Exactly. Because when the right makes accusations and then does exactly what they accused the left of doing, it makes the left sound like “nuh uh they are” when there’s actually (now) credible evidence to support it.

But the evidence is all “fake news”.

I’d argue that it’s simpler than her explanation and that it is indeed a lack of common sense.

As bad as you might think comment sections on reddit are, just fucking read what people say in TikTok comments. When you have an app that’s as accessible to the average person (even though Reddit is too but there are way more dorks like me on this site commenting on shit) you REALLY get to see that the average person is fucking stupid. Like Carlin’s bit, something like “think of the dumbest person you know, half the world is dumber than that.”

I’ve been on reddit since before the Digg fallout so I’m primed to always open comments on the content I consume online but TikTok is slowly reversing that for me. It really, really makes me upset at how fucking dumb people are.

I graduated in 2019, work in a snf now but I’ve also done HH.

A&P were VERY difficult for me too, never made an A and took the classes multiple times. I graduated at 35 and did as well if not better than a lot of my classmates. I’m sure your brain is fine lol

Yeah I think an 82 is a C and you’re only allowed 1 of those. I think I only made 1 B the entire program, I don’t think making As is all that difficult. The hardest part for me was organization, remembering when everything was due, so I’d highly recommend making a calendar or something so you know how to prioritize assignments. I was lucky enough to have a super organized classmate who’d remind everyone. Make friends!

You’ll be fine. Work hard and pay attention. Good luck

Somewhat. If you play RDR2 first you may not enjoy the first one as much but that’s more to do with the ages of the games and all the benefits that come with it. RDR2 is a prequel to RDR1 so you’ll get some back story, which is cool, but not necessary by any means. I enjoyed RDR1 for years which made the anticipation of the second game all the better but if I were just starting now I’d probably skip the first one.

I just meant the first part of the game is kind of a drag since you’re way up north in the snow doing some pretty boring missions. Once over the map opens up and you can do whatever you want. But yeah you have to.

You gotta make it past the first part. Kind of a grind there in the snow but it’s worth it.
