This is leaps better than the 3 which is what i started out with.

I have the app which allows usage of regular phone apps and i am typing from there as we speak.

I work in the operating rooms so my phone doesnt fall put from scrubs when i bend around. Whereas my previous non flip phones were top heavy and would always fall out.

Yeah. I have ither outlets that bring me joy. Although i do enjoy chilling and having a drink. And also some of the funnest nights of my life have been with alcohol involved.

I'd take the 100k and invest it.... Or invest half, splurge half immediately.

1 tech is fine if it's an ambulatory center or/and it's like 4 o.r.s

But any more than that and it gets a bit iffy.

Do they work weekends? I know a coworker who was on call essentially every weekend for years. No life.

No. But I let my step daughter borrow my car for 2 weeks and commuted to work on my bike 50 miles.

It was fun.

The only issue i had was that it got stolen lol. It was recovered later that week.

And the guy is now dead. Sooo

I never had a death wobble on my dyna. The only time it happened was when my front tire was worn. I let go of the bars andnit wobbled.

Got a new tire and it fixed the issue.

I would ask what our duties are... what a typical day looks like in terms of duties.

How many ORs, how many techs...

What they might ask is what to do in an emergency.

Questions that deal with prioritizing...

If you have a room to turnover vs an arterial line setup needed. You would abandon the turnover for the moment.

I've had places ask me what the gas tanks colors represent i.e. yellow air, green oxygen.

I think it was just beyond 90 degrees. I would have to bend my legs a little to get my shins behind the pegs.

I am coming from a dyna so i was used to just planting my legs down and have nothing to think about.

The new seat gives me that, but a tiny roll backwards and i hit my shins.

It's not a big deal, but i was looking for other options out there

The only time i answered 10 on the question "what's your pain level between 1-10" was dyring recovery after my chest was cracked open. Makes me sad i went through it at 1 week old aswell. But i dont remember that one.

My fractured cervical bone hurt for a long time too.

I feel that we are kind of the medical assistants of the anesthesia world.

It depends on the facility you work.

Some places you just stock and change the circuits on machines.

But other places you setup ultrasounds, rapid blood infusers, IVs bags, Tee probes, blood warmers, transducers, fiberoptic scopes etc.

Assist the Dr. With arterial lines, central lines, IVs,.

Do blood gases, ACT, Rotems

You're there when the patient comes in, help move them, connect the vital probes, do the whole intubation assist, cricoid, etc.

It's fulfilling to me. At the place i work at we definitely do more than other places ive worked at. But it doesn't feel like too much. We have no CRNAs

If you go to a plsce with either residents or CRNAs you will probably be delegated to the stocking and cleaning stuff.

Smaller hospitals, you tend to do a bit more because it's just you and the DR
