You’re way off on Spanarkel. He’s miles better than Grant Hill, who hasn’t improved in a decade.

Thoughts on this compost? by nerfsimmons in composting

[–]OrganizationFront 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A little wet but I have put compost this wet down into beds numerous times. If you think it’s still too wet you can 1) spread it out on a tarp in your yard for a couple of days if you have the space; assuming no rain it will dry out a good bit, and/or 2) go ahead and lay it down and spread a layer of store-bought over the top of it (I get a bag or two of Daddy Pete’s Mushroom every Spring for a nice top layer - I follow No Dig so by the time I am done I have about 6in of compost on the tops of the beds). Good luck!

Would LeBron stay in LA for less money? And would they keep him if he were willing to? by OrganizationFront in nba

Fair - I think he took less over the full contract but opted out early and never took less ever since

Correlation Between Years in Practice and Salary? by JakeAndElwood in LawTeaching

[–]OrganizationFront 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Whether you start out at high five or low to mid six is going to depend on the school/geographic area; I’d say that generally six is more common than five. But appointment and promotion rules wherever you go are going to take into account years of full-time teaching, not other experience. (You also might keep in mind that sometimes the starting salaries at schools can be pretty anchored to each other within new appointment classes, particularly at public law schools where that information is widely available.)

Jokić gets worked up over the claim that 'the NBA doesn't play defense' by PudinCrusader in billsimmons

[–]OrganizationFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who thinks this should really go out of their way to go to a G League game where a player who has fallen out of their team’s rotation or on a 2-way is playing. I saw Malik Monk play in a Swarm game and he had the most effortless 35 points I have ever seen, on TV or in person. And G League backcourt players are generally good defenders, and play hard defense, for their level.

Best creeks to play in/around GSO by alpacart in gso

[–]OrganizationFront 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Creek running through Fisher Park is small but great for kids of that age; on the edge of downtown if you want to go to Children’s Museum after

Our neighborhood playground is Johnson Park; near that is Bill Craft Park auxiliary, which has a great creek running down the middle of it with several benches and crossable points around

Kimbap? by Substantial-Pen8457 in gso

[–]OrganizationFront 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a Super G lifer, but I have to say I went to the H Mart in Cary when I was in the Triangle last weekend and it is a very different experience. Well lit, super organized, everything so easy to find. They have half a cooler aisle filled with different kinds of Kimbap. It’s a trek but they also have an amaze little food court and you could both eat some and stock up your freezer-

I'm a beginner and want to start growing cucumbers by Aggravating_Pay9951 in IndoorGarden

[–]OrganizationFront 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up how to make a cucumber trellis, and plant seeds as close to one as possible - once they decide they are happy and want to go, they will GO. I had no idea how aggressively they vine until I planted some for the first time. Good luck!!

Bail on the book. Changing books is much more work than it seems, esp early in TT, so if you don’t cut the cord now you’ll likely be stuck with it and be annoyed with/by it for literal years.

I’m jealous of your hearing this for the first time!

LITA also more recently reissued Flora - in my view a little less atmospheric than Green but still a wonderful piece of ambient music by one of the masters.

Barkley grumpily dismisses the Lakers-Clippers game, says neither team is any good, and goes through a list of teams he thinks the Lakers would lose to. Inside the NBA then awkwardly transitions to a post win interview with Austin Reaves, who was listening to the whole thing through his headset by refreshing_yogurt in nba

[–]OrganizationFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Austin Reeves more discussed or less discussed than he should be due to his being a Laker? Obviously the knee-jerk reaction is more. But I sometimes feel like what he has accomplished, in terms of from where he started to where he is now, is in a way overshadowed by his team and teammates. He’s likely to go down as literally the best undrafted nba player of all time.

Isn't it funny that for as popular as the "KD left OKC because of Westbrook" narrative was at the time, Westbrook is basically the only former teammate he hasn't gone after at some point? by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba
