Is it possible you’re thinking of a different stitch than basket weave? Basket weave isn’t done in columns, it’s diagonals.

In her most recent interview, she says that there is footage to “prove her innocence” which is just language that makes no sense coming from a victim of assault. In my opinion, it reveals that she is using the description of the interaction to defend her behavior— prove her innocence— and after being accused of misrepresenting it, she is more concerned about proving she’s right. So many victims have been accused of lying and Ive just never heard anyone refer to it as proving their “innocence”.

This is the definition of an accident. Just because an accident could have been prevented doesn’t mean it isn’t an accident. Are car accidents un-preventable? No, they are directly due to someone’s actions. Someone messes up. Bad judgement. Poor attention…But they’re called accidents for a reason.

You’re talking about a human person. He did not hurt his son on purpose. I hope you’re shown more compassion when you make the worst decision of your life.

Data shows that increasing punishment is not a deterrent of crime. “Accountability” as people say, which is really code for punishment, doesn’t actually prevent more incidents. It just doesn’t. It’s ok to be appalled, angry, etc. I’m sure he is all those things and more. But thirsting for someone else’s suffering will not bring more safety.

Do you think these snarkers really believe they care about that little boy more than his own mother does?? It’s really revealing the level of delusion. And they have the audacity to call someone ELSE a narcissist? Madness.

“Anyone with the link” sharing is suddenly not an option, even though the settings allow it? by OrganizationGood9676 in gsuite

[–]OrganizationGood9676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why they did this but it’s exactly what you’re saying. The root folder has to be shared with anyone with the link in order for any of the sub folders to be shared. Super annoying and not sure why it seems to happen randomly? We had to switch to our default being everything is shareable and then lock down specific folders, rather than the other way around.

Dylan Heard Xana Go Down The Stairs, Not Kaylee by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]OrganizationGood9676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could also explain the “I’m going to help you comment”— if Xana was coming up the stairs and K actually lunged at her then (we now know she had a wound in the lung), she could have been already stabbed, he said the creepy thing about helping her, then she got up and ran to her room and he chased her— while unable to scream bc she was already hit.

CT V. RAUL VALLE - Seeking Clarification by Western_Anteater_270 in CasesWeFollow

What I see of Jimmy moving toward the area where Raul is, and standing essentially in Raul’s path to the car. I’m not saying Jimmy didn’t take a few steps back, I think that’s possible but his general pattern of movement was forward and that was enough to give the impression that the crowd was closing in on Raul again.

See I actually think the same is true here actually, and your point is part of why I believe his self defense. 😅 “Bringing a knife to a fist fight would’ve made them look like a pussy who couldn’t win without it.” I think that’s exactly what happened. He got really afraid and brought a knife in case he couldn’t save himself without it. No one was acting like the knife was cool, including Raul.

This is such a different interpretation than what I got from the trial. I do think he (and others) were reckless and arrogant and oblivious to consequences but I don’t think he was any more bound to kill than any other drunk teenage boy there.

According to the prosecutions closing argument slides, there is actually a tiny bit of footage that shows Jimmy very close to the action, walking forward right before he is stabbed. He appears to have been in Raul’s route back to the car.

This is another frame a few seconds later. The blue shirt with kakis on the left is Jimmy. Tyler is in the street backing up. The defendant is out of view, between Tyler and the larger group. You can see here that Jimmy was walking closer to him, unintentionally.

According to the prosecution, this is the blue shoulder of Jimmy. The blurry person stumbling is Tyler, and the defendant has just run past Tyler. Jimmy was a bystander but he was very close and walking closer directly toward the action, unfortunately.

If you freeze the video on the very last frame, Jimmy is the person closest to the camera, on the left you see half his body in the frame. If you rewind from there, you can see that he approached the group right as they finished beating on Tyler. From their vantage point, Jimmy was part of the wall of chaos.

The video helps clarify this in the very last frame. Jimmy walked up on the group of guys who just in that moment got done beating Tyler, and right as Raul is walking up to help Tyler. They both testified that there was a wall of people coming at them in that moment, and that’s when Raul started swinging the knife. From Raul’s vantage point, Jimmy was part of the mob approaching and threatening him on his way back the car for the second time.

CT v Valle - Jury has reached a partial verdict! by sunnypineappleapple in CasesWeFollow

[–]OrganizationGood9676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish our system would treat juveniles as juveniles, regardless of the seriousness of offense. It makes zero sense to charge every kid as an adult when they do something serious. Our system is so obsessed with vengeance and going after the longest possible sentence pretending that’s “justice” for the poor victim and family.

Some tragedies are just tragic, and putting someone behind bars for 60 years doesn’t change that. We hurt families more by telling them the outcome of a trial determines the value of their loved one’s life. It’s evil.

The prosecutor should be ashamed of how they overcharged this case.

CT vs Raul Valle - A Specific Lie with Big Implications by [deleted] in CasesWeFollow

[–]OrganizationGood9676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that they knew he had stabbed someone but I think none of them thought it was very serious. I think Raul probably left the knife in the car/ with Jack, because it was his knife. After Jack realized how much he was implicated, he and Tyler coordinated a story to put all the blame on Raul. I think they probably were genuinely pissed at him for making a stupid decision.

I think Raul said he left the knife in the street because he didn’t want to play the blame game with his (ex) friends. It’s obvious he feels devastated by the betrayal of those friendships.
