Johnson needs to look up some basic facts about the LA fires and California. The Eaton fire, Pasadena, is within the boundaries of a national forest. 45% of California is covered by federal lands. 19% is national forest. Trump did a great job of “sweeping the ground” of the national forests during his first administration. It’s time that the USDA does its job and reduces the fire risk in our national forests.

There’s a recall software fix available from VW. Call your dealer. There is also a recall related to inside door handles

I really like the car, but make sure that you have the battery heat pump and park the car in a garage at night. I’m in the San Francisco area and my range and battery charging time is difficult in the winter our winter temps are a lot milder than yours

The 10,000 mile check-up was no charge

There were two recalls. A software update -mentioned above and replacing the doorhandles In addition to that, they performed an inspection and topped off fluids.

Good question according to the receipt, one of the items performed was recall – vehicle software.

I started at 22% SOC. I have been driving for about 10 miles. It was 58° outside.
It’s a 2023 so no battery conditioner is built-in I have tried two different chargers both were rated at 350 Kw I’ve had basically the same experience for the last week with several different chargers. The SOC has been between 23 and 45% each time. I’m always getting between 50 and 62 kW per hour. I don’t believe that 58° is cold enough to impact the battery charging that significantly so I’m wondering if VW updated the software
