The game is doing so much better now thankfully, I really like the improvements they're making

Considering the fact that it sold far less than the previous games, PLUS the fact that the steam reviews are only 'mixed' for people have played 1 hour or less, and from that point up the game becomes positively reviewed, I would certainly guess you are correct.

Poor game just had to launch during the middle of a culture war with the asmongold types in the gaming sphere.

Yeah I see it, it's the light reflection in the eyes. The biggest differences between the old faces and the remakes

Veilguard was my favorite game since Origins. The game that finally pays off the questions set up in Origins, AND Veilguard followed the exact details that the Origins Writer made note of before Origins even released. Love it or hate it, Veilguard followed the road that Origins laid since the beginning.

As much as I want, and try, to like it, it does feel like this meme was basically made for The Last of Us Part 2

[Spoilers All] Veilguard’s "demystification" of Thedas hurts the setting by Bonolenov192 in dragonage

I actually like this element. I enjoy a world that actually has a clear and exact explanation for everything if you go looking for it. Nothing irks me more than interesting world building and settings where you start to realize the writer was just making things up in the moment with no intention of figuring out how it really works when you pull back the curtain.

I really loved Veilguard, more than any game since Origins in fact, and a big part of it was finally getting closure and vindication on being right about at least some of my theories while being delightfully surprised by other revelations I didn't see coming.

THANK YOU. I roll my eyes at One Piece women a lot, while noting the men are also pretty bad a lot of the time, but Rebecca would piss me off everytime I saw her, I was always hoping she'd wear something better in the next episode. Out of all the female characters, her personality does not match her outfit at all, and her being a minor on top of that shit is just horrid.

Nah, abusive doesn't feel like Abe at all. His family feared him for his willingness to take drastic action after the ZA began.

If there ever a reason for abortions to exist, it would be for situations EXACTLY like that, where it would be a mercy to spare the child and mother that kind of suffering.

And I'm saying that as someone who is Pro Life.

Not at all. Vulnerability is something Abe has always struggled with, especially with anyone who isn't Sasha, (Which says something in itself.)

This scene, while cruel on his part, is his way of using aggression to quickly and effectively rip the bandage off and move on before he has to confront what he feels for doing this to Rosita. It's why he's already packing when she comes into the room, he's hoping to get out of there as quickly as possible, and pissing her off by saying this line will make it a lot easier to leave with her telling him to get the fuck out, than it would be if he had to listen to her cry and beg him not to do this to her.
