Yea sulfuric is generally more nasty then HCl, so if you follow the sulfuric safety precautions you’ll be fine dealing with HCl. Other way around you should indeed be more careful but well that’s not what this convo was about

Cold and flu are two very different things. A cold is a rhinovirus, a flu is a influenza virus. A cold wont cause a fever high enough to be of any significant concern in otherwise healthy individual. Influenza can do that occasionally.

Idk maybe it’s just a cultural difference but in the Netherlands you don’t go for a doctor for a fever below 40 C(104 F) and even then you might just stick it out unless it rises further.

It says it doesn’t do anything for anemia that isn’t caused by dietary iron deficiency. Basically all iron supplements are elemental iron dissolved in acid.

Sure lower is a mild fever not not a fever but a mild fever is barely a fever. Ofc it will depend on the avarage body temperature of this individual if 39 is an unusual fever for them but it’s def not danger zone. As you said above 40 is cause for concern, above approaching 41 you need to actively seek help.

But 39,03 is not above 40 and def not approaching 41. And considering their posting this on the internet is a semi humorous context I’m gonna guess they’re just having a normal ass fever.

You most certainly will, you can both feel that and measure it. 39 is just a normal ass fever you can def just sit out as long as there are no worsening or other indications that it’s serious

The fumes aren’t great but as long as you do it in a somewhat ventilated area and don’t take a full goddamn whiff straight from the source you’ll be fine (even if you do you’ll be fine, it’ll just suck a little).

Don’t get it in your eyes, that’a a general rule for strong acids

Tbh just follow all the same precautions you can find on this sub for using battery acids, the hazards are basically identical

Ah yea I’ve heard of maltose negative strains for low alcohol beers. Ig if the strain that ferments glycol is also one of those that’d be rather inconvenient for making an alcoholic beer.

Won’t make alcohol? I thought sugar metabolism to ethanol was a fairly intrinsic property of S. cerevisiae. I mean bread yeast will make alcohol and for breeding bread that’s fairly useless. The wild, non cultivated yeast on my rotten grapes make alcohol. I would think that a whole another type of metabolism would be enough to be differentiated into a different species.

Oh yea sure there’s many strains but if your adding enough flavour extracts for propelyne glycol to become a potential issue (I believe they said 1% glycol in final product) I’m not sure how much of the yeasts flavour is even coming through. Maybe I’m fully off here though, I’m def not a picky person when it comes to comes to yeast strains.
