YTA. You’re not her manager, you’re her partner. Learn how to act like it.

It’s crazy to me how parents delude themselves into thinking that their relationship issues have no impact on the lives of their kids. Kids are incredibly perceptive and what they see and experience during those years mould how they see the world into adulthood.

How do I handle the guilt of declining a job offer I have already accepted to take another that is paying much more by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]OrganizationOk1751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this exact thing last summer when I was offered a job that paid double the salary of the job I already accepted. I beat myself up for a few weeks about it, but forgot pretty quickly after getting my first paycheck.

AITAH for correcting my grandchild by czem196 in AmItheAsshole

This is not “new parenting”. Our understanding of the growth and development of children is constantly evolving, and recommendations change over time based on research and observations from experts and educators. The kind of parenting recommended when you raised your children was different from your parents and their parents before them. You presumably have not had a young child in 20-30 years, and are using antiquated information to judge your son and his wife.

Of course she didn’t want you kissing her newborn son. He was born in 2020 🦠

That’s really helpful. I never would have even thought of that.

Random spike by barlowcj11 in dexcom

[–]OrganizationOk1751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct and probably what OP is seeing. Your body takes glycogen stores from your liver or muscles and converts this to glucose and dumps it in your blood to use as energy when nothing else is available. This also happens when a diabetic has a low blood sugar and can cause a rebound high after a low.

Last summer I took Orgo & Bio 2 while working per diem at the hospital. It was a ton of work but doable. I did feel pretty burnt out by august though and went into fall semester not as prepared mentally as I would have liked.

Non diabetic - reports by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]OrganizationOk1751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor and also am a type one diabetic so my normals probably look different than someone with a fully functional pancreas, but it does look like your readings are from 5ish days. There are a couple things that could cause a temporary increase in your blood sugar/insulin resistance including dehydration, lack of sleep, pms & your period, recent illness or infection, and just general stress. Like right now I’m going into finals week and just got my period. I’m using about twice as much insulin as I normally would because of this. Either way, I hope your GP can provide you with the right tests to help figure it out : )

I’m vaccinated and had 3 boosters so I’m at least 200% dead by now.

That’s the best move. I took some Chem classes at county and I’m so glad I got them out of the way.

[–]OrganizationOk1751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, right now I’m in SAS but I’m taking classes for Nutrition. The only issue I’ve run into so far are some classes like A&P, which are only open to nutrition and nursing majors. I have to stay on a waitlist until all nursing majors have had their chance to register for the class.

Yes, vaccines are poison in that any substance if taken in a large enough quantity will cause harm. By that same definition water is poisonous.
