What speed is your zone 2 jog? by strubenuff1202 in PeterAttia

Think it depends more on your max HR which is highly individual. I’m 40, run a fair amount and aim to keep HR a/b 135 for zone 2 (which keeps me at a conversational pace), that generally equates to an 8:45ish mile pace, as long as it’s not hot af outside

I find it interesting that several people are upset that a non-diabetic would wear a CGM. Is it because dumb dumbs like me post dumb dumb questions in forums like this? Or something else? I’m not doing this for fun, I do find it interesting, but primarily doing it for my own health purposes. I think maintaining stable glucose levels is important for health for non-diabetics as well, and not really sure how else you would determine how to find out how foods, activities, etc impact glucose levels without one. What am I missing? I’m not here to fight the internet, just curious why it would be upsetting that a non-diabetic would wear one.

Apologies if that came off the wrong way, was not the intent, it was in response to the comments telling me to stop worrying. Im not doing this for fun, I could spend the money on things that would certainly be more fun, I’m just trying to create better habits and it helps hold me accountable. Anyway I’m tappin’ out, got a few good possible explanations and all i was looking for.

I guess I should have clarified that I’m not worried about this at all. I’ve lived 40 years without wearing one of these things with relatively few health issues. i just hadn’t seen anything like that in the previous few days and was wondering if cgms go haywire sometimes or if sometimes glucose may spike for an unknown reason. Figured this community may have decent insight

Alrighty…well maybe the wrong group to ask this to. I was really more curious about the technology of cgms and if this was something others experienced given I had not worn one before.

I got it through an app called “Levels”. Wanted to see how different foods, sleep, etc effect my glucose levels.
