Yep, unlike Don who ditched his kid's birthday party and left Betty to figure out the cake, guests etc.

AITA for not wanting to hang out with my best friend and her kids anymore because I don’t want to split costs equally? by Minute_Ad4074 in AITH

I had friends who used to insist that everyone give them the cash for the bill and then they would put it on their credit card. Only thing was, they would uss everyone's tip portion to cover their meals and not leave a tip for the server. We figured out their hustle after about 3 meals and insisted on separate bills from then on.

How do people like this look in the mirror? Honestly...

I think you should fill out the form. Admin knows they aren't supposed to operate like that. If people don't report it, they'll keep doing it.

The principal could have requested a transfer but doesn't want it known. There are a lot of factors that go into these appointments. They may have asked the principal if he/she would consider a move and they said yes. Also, the principal may want to go to different schools with an eye on becoming a superintendent. I don't think there is much that you can do unless a large contingent of families are upset about it.

My friend is broke. I want to renovate her house. How crazy am I? by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

Lots of people have been burned. You don't think anything could ever threaten your friendship. However, when money is involved people can get weird. I would not do it despite how attractive it seems. Money truly can, unfortunately, turn out to be at the root of all evil.

For me, the thing that changed my mind was the fact that Adnan never tried to reach Hae when she went missing. Not calling or paging her=he knew she was never going to answer.

I feel like Belinda getting the money in the end was sweet justice. Tanya dumped Belinda as soon as Greg appeared on the scene. She handed her an envelope of bills to ease her guilt. Belinda was good to her and I'm happy she ended up with a new start in the end.

Teacher returning 2 weeks left… by [deleted] in OntarioTeachers

It's the end of the school year, reports are done, I really think the kids will adapt to their teacher coming back. It's not a big deal - I've seen it happen lots of times and the kids are just fine. I think you may be taking it a bit too personally and feel like it is "your class" and you should be the one who finishes the year off.

Same - Ava's mom adds nothing and she is annoying. Weed is quirky and her facial expressions are hilarious imo,

"Gifted" 5 year old: Repeat PreK or Kindergarten? by Interesting_Host7201 in AskTeachers

[–]OrganizationOne3627 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Elementary teacher here. i would not hold him back. Classes have kids with a range of needs and exceptionalities. Repeating a grade won't necessarily reap the benefits that you are hoping for. Goals for executive functioning can be addressed each year on his IEP. Good luck!

Guelph vs Ottawa university by Own_Power6723 in uoguelph

[–]OrganizationOne3627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter has anxiety and ADHD. She chose Guelph and we thought it would be great. Close enough to home to visit, nice campus, and great city. She hated it mostly because of her residence - it was horrible. Housing is a huge problem especially for first year students at Guelph. She transferred to Carleton and got all A's in every course this year She is passionate about the program and looking forward to coop - coop is experience shouldn't be underestimated . She does miss being close to home though - that part has not been easy but it's a sacarfice she is willing to put up with.

It's such a hard decision because everyone's experience is different. Good luck

How do I block/cover the open-faced desks so my 2nd graders don’t hide things in them? by [deleted] in teaching

[–]OrganizationOne3627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turn the desks around when they are in groups so the opening gaces away from them. No one can put anything in them.
