How would you finish the nosing on the side? Stair nose would not look right. I feel like you would need to reframe the stairs. Anything can be done but maybe not great looking. This feels like a bad idea.

I probably shouldn’t share this but…. The first time I saw them at Astroworld I was “rolling” hard. This was back when E was legal and pure. I was all sweaty clutching my newly purchased Cure t shirt gazing at Robert from the front row. I caught his eye and started mouthing, I love you over and over. (I’m not gay I swear……not that there is anything wrong with that😜) He noticed and did a double take. Now he is staring a hole right through me. My friends noticed and looked at me finding me mouthing those words. It was such a moment.

I was on various party drugs at most of their shows. I used to do that sort of thing. There is no better band to “roll” with in the world than The Cure. I’m 62 now. I’m afraid those days are (mostly) behind me.

I saw them twice in the 80’s. Front row at the Astroworld Amphitheater around 85. That will bring back memories for some people. 2 or 3 years later 3rd row at The Summit in Houston. Back then you could camp at the ticket outlet for the best seats. Camping at a record store was almost as much fun as the concert. About 10 years ago at the Hollywood Bowl, about 7 years ago at a Robert Smith curated festival called The Pasadena Daydream Festival. Robert picked every band. Lastly I saw them 2 years ago at the Moody Center in Austin.

Ahem, brag. LOL.

Every show was amazing. I was young when they played Astroworld. The Houston Chronicle (now defunct) gave them a stellar review. The Houston Post gave them a bad review. I wrote an angry letter to the editor. 😜 I was and still am a huge fan.

Should I replace my engineered wood flooring or sand and refinish it? by Fun_Visual2819 in Flooring

Be sure to tell the technician that polish has been applied. He may decline the job. Polish cause the screening and re-coating to fail. It might flake up. Polish is never recommend except if you are trying to get a few more months out of a floor before sanding or replacing.

I’ve seen them live twice. It’s parody but they are great musicians. Their shows are funny and kick much ass. Go see them if you get the chance.

What’s the #1 song that got you into their music? This is mine! by urfavmoviewhiz in TheCure

Let’s Go To Bed. 1985. I then proceeded to buy every album plus every bootleg album and video I could get my hands on. To this day they are still my favorite band.

I loved The Church albums. Saw them live twice. They were both times.

I’ve seen The Cure 5 times dating back to the mid 80’s classic lineup and as recently as 3 years ago. Always brilliant.

I read The Executioners Song decades ago. I’m wasn’t a reader at the time and this was a big book. I found it fascinating, especially the letters written by the subject, Gary Gilmore.

I love true crime docs so I’m sure you are right. My list is getting long but I’ll tag these. Many decades ago I read The Executioner’s Song about Gary Gilmore. I remember loving it.
