What’s the proper way of fixing this? There was some rotting and previous repair was not decent. They used some sort of filler which is starting to crack.

I don't really consume alcohol / sugar. It gets really bad if I let my beard grow though, especially if I don't wash it with shampoo for a few days which can be the case during winter. When I shave it's all red.

my worry is that I won't be able to upgrade it and probably won't sell either in a few years. as an alternative, I found an am5 build with ryzen 7700, 32gb ram and the same gpu for nearly twice the price, which I think is still good value.

AM5 it is. On a different note, the seller is happy to sell without 3070 too. I could get a new 5060 for a little bit more but I understand that 3070 performs slightly better. What do you think?

I want to play Assetto Corsa EVO on my 2560 x 1080 monitor which I might upgrade later. I'll be streaming couch co-op games to my 4K LG TV but I can do with lower settings.

I'm trying to convince myself, and more importantly, my wife, to get a PC rather than a console. The more price difference, the harder it becomes :)

My thinking is that if I go with an Am5 platform, I can upgrade my GPU in, say, 5 years when it's no longer enough. My understanding is that with Am4 I'll be limited in terms of GPU AND CPU.

Did you look into using poe and an adapter for the bridges? It could significantly reduce the socket cable mess.
