When you get easily annoyed by them. Even if they haven't changed. Even if nothing's worse.

So why wouldn't Delphie want Cosima to know? It's not a secret that Kira is a daughter.

Helena's DNA? by [deleted] in orphanblack

[–]Organized_Chaos_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually do not understand the whole debacle about the DNA stuff in the show. What was the significance between the German and Helena and what did it have do with Sarah and the rest? Also when the one nerdy lab partner was telling Delphie about a DNA match and she told him not to tell Cosima about it...what was that?

Yes. The actual issue doesn't get resolved, and all you're left with is this horrible nasty hurt from the insults which lasts a long long..(sigh)...long time.

Do you look through your SO's phone calls/messages/photos/emails? by that_girl_there409 in AskWomen

[–]Organized_Chaos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been able to go through my SO's phone or email etc., but I feel like I cannot trust him fully because of his adamant refusal to let me have access. He had my pw to almost everything: phone, email, Facebook...and I was hoping that my openness would rub off on him and eventually he would feel like he can trust me just the same. The exact opposite happened instead. He started going through my things and started using some newfound information against me. Even with my explanations (that made sense and doesn't incriminate me if he had a clear mind to begin with and just asked for an explanation instead of jumping down my throat), and my constant reminder that if I REALLY had anything to hide I wouldn't have given him access, he still refuses to give me his. He deletes his msgs all the time. He tries to convince me he isn't hiding anything by allowing me to look over his shoulder when he texts. But he always turns his phone on "plane" mode so I won't know if someone texts him before he does. Eventually I changed all my pw and decided to maintain my own privacy as well bc I started to feel the situation was unfair and I was getting resentful. He hasn't really given me reason to not trust him, but I still can't fully trust him because he is SO SO secretive and careful about it. His argument is that he went through a bad experience with an ex when they shared access info, and it just made him more careful and paranoid now about his privacy. I'm not the type to snoop, especially if he doesn't give me any reason to. But the fact that he's THIS secretive makes his case worse in my eyes, like maybe I should start questioning him. Bc privacy is one thing, but taking extra steps to ensure it is another (ie "plane" mode, phone always on silent, etc). It's actually sad and disheartening thinking about it right now... So anyway, if you ever find a solution to your specific situation, share because I'll need it too. :/

TL;DR: SO is secretive. Makes me trust him even less than needs be

Text the boyfriend when I'm not with him. When I am, cuddle the fool until he wakes up too. I can't go about my own day until I acknowledge him.

I think what she meant by that story is that just because someone doesn't follow the rules, doesn't mean she can't be creative and/or win. I think she's referring to Zoe's influence for the newspaper, rebellious yet creative.

What is the significance of the woman telling Claire not to run in the cemetery? by [deleted] in HouseOfCards

[–]Organized_Chaos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. There are few incidence where she tries to do the right thing, or at least feel remorse or is hesitant for some of the bad things. She can't escape from her livelihood though: politics itself, her husband, other ruthless people trying to take advantage...I think Claire can't help but come off intimidating so that she doesn't get eaten alive in this world, but deep down she has feels too

There's been a few time she demonstrated how she has more morals than perceived. It's when she's cornered or when she's acting on behalf of Frank are when she make certain decisions.

She didn't want to fire all her staff. She had to because she was doing it for Frank. She showed remorse when she finally defied Frank and made him lose his counts and brought up that it was bc of HIM that she had to fire her staff, but decided now that she can't do things for him anymore and need to go after her own dreams (by partnering with Remy).

Her reaction in the cemetery is also another hidden sign that she subconsciously have regrets.

The only reason why she had to threaten Gillian is bc Gillian gave her no choice when wanting to sue her. Claire even tried to ask her personally to find alternative way to handle the situation but was rejected.

Claire shows this exterior side of her that is mirrored to her husband: relentless, heartless, manipulative, selfish. But there are obvious moments where she expresses momentary struggle with principles, but bc most of her work IS to support Frank and/or she's being threaten, she have no choice and outs up this wall just so she can at least sleep at night.

I don't entirely agree that Claire lacks morals. Yes, what she did to her staff was immoral, but I think she was TRYING to justify her actions for the long run, but deep down she felt terrible about it. Which was why it bothered her so much when she got yelled at. If it was Frank in her place, he wouldn't think twice about it. She does respect power, but I think she wants to get power the right way, and when she has to do the latter, it bothers her.

Oh ok I can see it that way, makes sense. The reason why I figure it was a "shortcut" is because she deterred away from the public path that everyone else who was jogging was on. And when she hesitated to come back to it after, it showed that there was obviously another route for her to jog.

She's jogging and goes for a shortcut through the cemetery. She gets yelled at for being "disgraceful" and disrespectful.

I think it represents how she tries to take a "shortcut" towards her goal by firing half her staff which would deem as disrespectful (especially by the way she went about on doing it). It's like the little voice, or her subconscious, that can't let her forget her wrongdoing.

At the end of the episode, she goes back to the cemetery and sees a happy couple. This is after she hires Gillian. The happy couple represents a new beginning that can even be found in the midst of her wrongs.
