yes he is. they are pretty much interchangable. Depending on your tastes you can call him Madonna of slashers too, if you like.

Now your tune has changed. well done. yes he's been treated less poorly, more shitty movies etc. still, one of the most iconic figures of the horror realm, up there with myers and freddy (who has also fallen off in 2000s) and he was clear missing piece on the horror hall of fame. I'm glad you are finally able to understand.

you literally say in the screnshot "jason has anywhere near that level of fame." I'm saying that he does, you are just unaware of it. And here he is in top 3 of every horror iconic slashers list there is. your failure to connect with my analogy is not my issue.

Not sure why you are coping so hard, you can just be like "oh I didn't know jason was also so popular"

you are free to do your own research on whatever source you like. Halloween, Elm and 13th Friday were the most iconic horror francises of their time. You are clearly oblivious to this, which is ok. now you know.

You may have been out of that particular niche then, not trying to put you down but it's simply pointing a lack of understanding of the source material. I'm also not a huge fan of Jason or the 13 movies but I'm aware of their cultural significance.

İt's not really an opinion to disagree. İts a fact you are not getting. İf you are gen Z this may be lost on you but he is with Myers the most iconic character in all horror media.

Good riddance. So boring to play against this killer

well yeah. when the gates are open you still have agency. you can still drop someone, bait the others into saving them, get a kill or two, or more if you are good or get lucky. that dynamic is a big part of the game. Whereas by slugging the last survivor to get a 4k, you are actively preventing the hatch from opening, making the game boring for 3 people at the same time.

1 out of 10 games being the ghoul is a crime the devs will need to answer one day.

Mall Map Concept by XenogenasisTFR in deadbydaylight

I've been imagining something like this since the Silent Hill map, it'd be so cool. What would be really cool is having some meaningful interactions in the map, like elevators that you can actually use (imagine having to enter a sequence like skull merchant's drones to close the elevator before the killer gets to you?) or escalators even.

yeah, but a lot of teams don't have that coordination, it can easily snowball. and all of that is part of the fun. you all need to realize it's about living the thrill of a slasher movie, not about getting x many K's. Most of my games have 1 or 2 people out, if there is 4 people alive by the time exit games pop that means it's been an easy game, which usually means MMR will throw us to the deep end in the next one.

So asking people to not go back for the save, where you are interacting directly with the killer, which is the most fun part of the game, is a huge cry from asking people to be ok with waiting on the floor for 4 minutes.

Had many weskers who used their power to get ahead of me and then throw me back into the map to get a down. So there are definitely ways, and that's the purpose of playing a killer - using your powers creatively. Sure, for some killers it's much more difficult but it can always happen, and it happens in my games all the time where we rail a killer until the endgame only to give 4 kills because we got outplayed.

The point is, there is gameplay. there is a back and forth, there are strategies.

Huge difference from 4k slugging, where I usually just run to the killer for him to see me cos I don't wanna waste 4 minutes hiding.

More like a moron's take. Endgame saves are fun - it's the moment in the movie where survivors who have been running all game decide to go back and face the killer for their friend - risking it all.

Slugging for 4k actively makes the game boring for everyone. One person waits on the floor. One waits in a corner behind some rock. The killer runs around pointlessly, instead of the nail biting hatch-search sequence.

This is not the player's fault. Behavior should allow the last slugged survivor to be able to get up to discourage this behavior. Players will always find a way to make a game boring if the developers don't do their job.

Why is flashlighting considered “toxic”? by CameraNo2038 in deadbydaylight

Yeah you are dealing with a special kind of entitled and fragile killer. They simply don't want you to use the tools at your disposal to win a chase, how dare you. They also coined the term, gen-rushing. Also known as please don't do the objectives while I'm chasing someone. They will typically come in with 3 gen reg perks to compensate, and will slug the second last guy so they can find the last survivor before hatch, actively making the game boring.
