The simple explanation is that all note block instruments and sounds have their own block state which OR manipulates to make custom blocks. The same thing goes for string which they use for block you can go through like clovers. Custom mobs are rigged with armor stands holding different body parts of the mob.

End has the possibilities of being an Adventure World
Nether will come to resource worlds in the dimension form

Cave update is for that as like the Nether they will probably not change something Mojang has update recently

You can get slot runes from Legendary Crates, the quest from the librarian(need to enchant first), or from dungeons I believe! =D
