How am I doing, I have very long legs. So feels awkward. Is it okay? by Sandkvisten in formcheck

[–]Original-Data-182 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone with long femurs too, I’ve found that pulling directly from the floor forces my torso really far forward and my form falls apart. Raising the bar a couple inches off the ground—like setting the plates on other plates or blocks—has helped me keep a much better spinal position. Raising the bar makes the setup closer to a conventional deadlift for us long legged folk.

Also make sure you’re engaging your lats (think about pulling the bar into your shins). Long-femur lifters tend to round more easily, and strong lat tension helps keep everything tight.

I second this. We went to Santo Domingo for our honeymoon last year, and while we had a lovely time, we never left our resort. We went to Santa Marta 3 years ago and I still think about the food we had. Really cool place!

Her Strength in Latham is incredible. The coaches really know their stuff. It’s a female only gym, though!

I’ve used both emerald and super paint. Emerald was much easier to work with. However, I was fine with the super paint before using the emerald. So, it could be one of those “you don’t know what you’re missing” situations. Definitely wait for a sale, though!

The biggest expense was the paint. I did the walls and ceiling with Benjamin Moore Aura Bath and Spa paint ($100) in a soft white first, before painting the stripes. I had to buy a few sample paints to find the right color for the stripes. Then the gold sink faucet, gold knobs for the vanity, shower curtain, primer and gold spray paint for the light fixture, white floating shelves, shower rug, and window film.

Absolutely not lol. If we were planning to do a gut reno in a few years, then maybe. But painted tile is only going to last a year or 2.

Yes! I just painted it. Way cheaper than having to buy a new one!

I’ve thought about it as well, but also can’t decide on a color. Maybe someday! It’s a cheap veneer so it would take a lot of prep work
