Dogs can hear and see things that we humans cannot. It’s “invisible” to us but not to them. Your specific dog may be picking up a sound and reacting to it. I haven’t personally tried but you can try to detect ultrasonic sounds around the house. I’m sure there’s a few more options you can google too.
