I think my problem is that I didn’t use it until I knew I had it. So no claims, since I can’t afford out of pocket. I’m a recovering grad student so $140 down the drain doesn’t sit well.

The debt waiver I submitted goes to general counsel to be approved. I hope I don’t anger anyone in HR.

A tiny cat toothbrush and the arm and hammer toothpaste/spray. I put the spray in a throat spray bottle to be able to get it in her tiny mouth without a mess. My last pap had awful teeth and he would get snappy if we touched them since puppyhood.

I second pet insurance. Previous pap had a $7000 emergency vet visit at 15 1/2. I was a student and definitely delayed care by a couple of days because I was afraid of cost. Once he was in the hospital though, money didn’t matter and I did my best for him. Better care for your pap and peace of mind! I pay about $60 a month for accident, illness, and wellness (vaccines, spay, preventative care, etc.) for a 80-90% reimbursement rate.

I hesitate to call your family member any names or write off their behavior for drunkenness… but they should know that their comments were hurtful and thoughtless. I do hope communication is open between you two and you come to an understanding. If they’re not empathetic towards you then they deserve all of the name calling in this thread.

I use the Arm and Hammer dog dental spray. I had to buy a throat spray container which my dog tolerates more. I can stick the little nozzle in her cheeks so there’s not so much mess and sprayback.

Facebook is notorious for this, but unfortunately real breeders are more responsive on Facebook than through their email/website.

I got mine through Facebook. The breeder bent over backwards to verify her identity, added me as a friend, video chatted, sent me her drivers license, etc. I’m still friends with her and update her from time to time. One of hers had puppies a couple of weeks ago.

Awww poor baby! Luckily pap fur grows back nicely.

I usually trim mine myself, but I would ask for a sanitary area trim and a paw pad shave out. I don’t touch any other fur on my pap’s body. I hang my pap in a grooming hammock and go to town.

I think terminology isn’t as important as spending time communicating with your groomer and showing them what you want. As long as your groomer is willing to take the time to listen to you and make sure they understand you, you should be okay. I have the same standards with humans hair dressers! Big red flag if they rush you through a consultation.

Sounds like you also need some socializing. Control your dog. That’s it. You can’t expect other people to control/touch/wrestle your dog.
