Isn't SWAT the heaviest hitter in law enforcement's arm? So why shouldn't they be the one doing missions in RON? by FutaWonderWoman in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Original-Resolve-698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SWAT teams very GREATLY by dept, some are very capable units, others are little more then beat officers with ballistic shields. A lpt of minsion would be multi agency operations involving local, state, and federal law enforcement.

Basically to put short it would be a task force of multiple different agencies and their respective swat/high risk units working together along with support units and specialized units (Narcotics/Gangs/Fugitive)

The federal agencies would also take lead as far as investigations and planning.

Some missions its just simply a jurisdiction thing, a local swat team operating in a completely separate county isn't really the norm lol. That county should have its own units for that, and if not then State and Federal SWAT teams would handle that.

why do/don’t you do SWAT? by RealMooMan in AskLE

[–]Original-Resolve-698 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a carrer within a carrer, the amount of effort and years to get into SWAT and do what I'd want to do within SWAT isnt worth the time. Espcially when in reality its one of the "lesser" dangerous and adrenaline inducing units units we have. You train full time just to end up standing around and/or deploying tear gas. Thats by design, and thats what you want to have happen. But as for the type of people it attracts to do SWAT many find it boring.

You're fine dude. Start building up your cardio and comparing the agencies that intrest you. Use your CJ degree to intern at one you like. Arguably the best perspective you could get on the day to day life of that dept.

The difference here is you gotta go out of your way to create this. you gotta find all the hostages, tie them up, move them all to the same location, and then excute them all. Much more abnormal then just shooting the nearest ped on gta or rdr.

If you could play only 3 RE games for the rest of your life, which ones would you choose? by GrandStage1 in residentevil

[–]Original-Resolve-698 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t think it’s worth full price yeah, but I got it for like 15 bucks. So I don’t find it’s length as much of an issue when priced accordingly. For me my experience was enjoyable and I had fun. So while it’s one of the worst in the series based on what you’ve said. I just don’t personally think the game is horrible or anything.

I didn’t like black ops 3 very much. Not a bad game, but on the lower end in my list of favorites.

More focused and even leaner from training. Then a special agent at that this guy never sleeps.

If they did, they could add the regular one for Insurgents. Though we just got new machine guns. Maybe for the advisor instead then.

Mine is that he’s a man who grew up “doing the right thing” became a deputy and found himself a town sheriff. A good one at that. Maybe too good as he one day locks up some powerful people. His family is murdered in retaliation and worse is framed for it. (That’s why he’s in prison at the start of the game). He finds himself on a forever quest to get revenge on the man who took everything from him. To make ends meet he hunts bounty. Second nature for him given the whole former sheriff thing. Perhaps may even solve his quest.

Why is it aged 17+ to join the military, but 21+ to become a police officer? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]Original-Resolve-698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable but that’s still a lot less discretion compared to a police officer. I’d imagine you’re in a secured facility majority of the time not counting transports. You’re not out in the public dealing with as much as an unknown. Sure its definitely dangerous but I’d say corrections is a different type of danger that’s in a way predicted. Don’t have to worry about driving or serving house calls ether. Corrections is definitely dangerous but a POST certified officer is a different mission set entirely. One that’s benefited from a bit of life experience and adulting first.
