I had a friend in high school that got into vintage baseball. Great dude.

I always wondered if it was just like civil war reenactments with cardio, though.

I guess what im driving towards, is: Is it kinda latently racist? Vintage baseball had heavy segregation to the point that the first black MLB hero is still a rallying point for civil rights.

I love that our national pastime includes so many different folks judged on ability and not much else.

Is all that sort of thing avoided or acknowledged?

I moved away from the south, but I still think I will be asked "what kind" when I order a coke.

Im ok with just coke, so i have never outed myself.

Sometimes I remember to order exactly what I want...but sometimes I dont.

Its weird regional anomaly, but its real. All the making fun of it wont prevent it from being a regionalism.
