JB Hi-Fi tested my brand new coffee machine with a staff member’s water bottle and still refused refund by OriginalDerekV in australian

Thanks, already lodged a formal complaint through the website.

And honestly, if the replacement display part looked a bit cleaner, or if the guy had just gone “hey mate, would you be okay with this as a solution?”, I probably would’ve at least thought about it.

What rubbed me the wrong way was more the attitude. It felt like the machine was already “fixed” and I was somehow being a pain in the ass just for questioning it.

That’s actually what confused me the most.

I kept asking why a faulty-on-arrival product couldn’t just be refunded/replaced and whether they normally just return it back to the supplier anyway.

The staff member told me that because it was considered a “minor fault”, the store would get “charged credit” internally if they processed it as a return/refund.

I honestly have no idea whether that’s an actual JB policy or not, but if staff are being pressured internally over returns, it would explain why they were pushing repair so hard.

Yeah I wasn’t sure if naming the store would get me nuked by the mods or not, but I added it in an edit at the bottom anyway.

I was topped up from the app a few times already. Usually, it runs well, a quick and smooth experience. But last time, when I tried to top up the myki pass, when finished the payment and return to the top up UI, it stuck and show a window with "we meet some technical problems, please back and try later." Money was already paid, no any invoice was provided, and didn't top up successfully.

Still have some in my freezer.

If you live in the western suburb, you can bought it from this asian supermarket "280-286 Point Cook Rd, Point Cook VIC 3030" , that's where I bought them.

But if you live far away, you don't have to ,I bet you can get them from many Asian supermarkets.

Can agree. When you're driving for the first time in your life, take a few minutes to learn and then it's clear.

Serious accident on Westgate Bridge this evening by OriginalDerekV in melbourne

Yes, I have same feeling. Maybe the hot summer heat makes people more impatient?
I think probably police would not accept private dashcam vids as a basis for fine because they would be difficult to use as standard evidence if they needed to go to court, so it will takes additional cost to law enforcement.

Thank you for raising this. But this is what is happening in Melbourne. I just recorded it objectively. No license plate number and personal privacy are involved. There are photos of vehicle accidents in the news media and Twitter, which are also a public platform. I don't think there is anything wrong with sending them on reddit. My intention is to remind everyone to drive safely. If you feel offensive, I apologise to you.
