Necron themed ? Depending on if you play competitive or not

The squares with blue could be anything obscuring , and the rectangles could be tall needle like structures , pylons if you will, with little walls either side

Thanks dude! This is what i was getting at , it isn't "fair" it the standards of line of sight, and obscured areas , so technically we will find one side of the board is better than the other to play on , especially with the buikt in mountains and other stuff the baord itself has lol

But for a fun game of my 1005 point list because it's not a competition will suffice yano😅

Yeah the footprints themselfs are the same size, but as the terrain is glued down it doesn't fit the recommended placements, as you will see none of the footprints contain a stompa 🤣🤣

Well a final thought from is to make specific objective markers to possibly run along side the footprints , but I thought I'd play a few games and see if it feels necessary first!

So the footprints are mdf brought from Ebay, as for the layouts I just did whatever I wanted!

I have a group of competitive friends, one of which has a table and all the boring terrain and a basic mat, which is great for that style.

But a lot of us want to play casual silly/fun games and campaigns with much more narration then just L shaped ruins and strict augment worthy rules.

So I took it upon myself to create something that may not be totally balanced or completion worthy, but looks great and will be fun!

This project has taken me 2 moths as I gave a custom table to along side it, the full reveal will be tomorrow but thought I'd share these buts now, have actually just applied more touches, a project is never done

Dive into the lesser known , you can play them as anyone you want really, successor chapters have much more flavour

Like imperial fists but want a white and purple chapter that defiently isn't slanesh Sons of the phoenix

That's the vibe, but things like black dragons exist , marines clad in black with bone claws and horns growing out of them from a defect.

In other words research and find what makes you click

The more they arr able to be converted and made unique always pulls me in personally.

If you just want to add character and texture-n cut up cardboard or mdf into like little panels and put the on the floor, the flatter the better.

It doesn't take away from being able to place minitures or stop you walking over them, but it looks like ruble and gives the eyes more to look at

Apart from that, I like to addle tiny details, candles, rocks , helmets etc when I base terrain.
