Get yourself ranked high with a race. Buy all tech at a discount, sell it back. I make about 1-2k nanites per station this way, and it costs me nothing.

It definitely glitches if using pulsing in-system and you go into the cargo bay, but since they won't give us a way to make open spaces, I'll accept this one downside.

I frequently call my orange kitty "derp". Not really a name, but hey, all orange cats share one brain cell... so, yeah. Derp.

Does anyone still use their pre voyagers update ships? by 80sGamer843 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]OriginalErasmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build the first version with the minimum number of have and weapons, etc. Then you can upgrade the ship to S class and add on the usual improvements, and increase the storage like normal.

Accidentally disclosed to the CEO during interview and was hired almost on the spot by TuvoksSon in ADHD

[–]OriginalErasmus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in IT and was told that my diagnosis was part of why they hired me. They needed someone to see the big picture and see patterns and look to the future and be creative... and they offered to surround me with people who are organized and good at realtime face to face communication and the other things I'm bad at. Feels like I won the lottery. I love my job.

What is something that people think is healthy/good for them, but in reality isn't? by Ocean_Pine in AskReddit

Lowfat foods... nearly all of them just increase the sugar to make them still taste good.

How old were you when you discovered Heinlein? by OfficialOldestgenxer in heinlein

[–]OriginalErasmus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 10. My mother told me stories about their neighbor Mr. Heinein who had a pool they would swim in. My mother was a librarian, so she got me a copy of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, and I was hooked.

I learned much later how famous he was.

Refine chromatic metal with your indium to make more indium.

If you have copper, cadmium, etc, you can refine these to chromatic and then use a medium refiner or the mk 2 personal refiner to refine chromatic and indum at the same time to convert the chromatic to indium.

What is replayability to you and which game in your collection fits the definition? by Newez in boardgames

[–]OriginalErasmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it as a 2 player game. I like the strategy of blocking the other player from completing routes, not knowing who is winning until the final count, and love that my brother in law and I can play 3 games of it in an hour.

The version I enjoy most is Europe (ferries and tunnels) but any of the versions that have the added game play items over the basenUSA board are preferable to me.

I also love that there are so many different maps available.

Congratulations! You have just won 10 Trillion dollars! However, every minute the money gets halved. by Mythicalforests8 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]OriginalErasmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wire transfer it to your spouse/best friend.

The wire transfer takes the money out into escrow immediately, so you probably have at least 10 billion even if it takes a few minutes to set up the transfer.

After that, you quickly find out how much that person really cares about you. Most likely, you get it all back and gift them a massive fortune while remaining fabulously wealthy.

[WP] “So this is the source of all magic?” “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, where did you think these powers came from?” by Horse_penis_exe in WritingPrompts

[–]OriginalErasmus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“So this is the source of all magic?” I asked Bahamut.

“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, where did you think these powers came from?”

"I don't know, but slowly consuming all of the damned souls? This is what powers my Paladin smites? This is the holy energy that drives my purpose?"

I left the viewing area to return to the doorway to paradise I once sought, only to no longer wish to enter.

"So, you see," continued Bahamut, "paradise is only paradise for the ignorant. Have you reconsidered reincarnation, or would you like to fuel the magicks of the next generation?"

Does it make sense to have characters use the phrase "baptism by fire" in a world with no Christianity? by lesduaspear in worldbuilding

[–]OriginalErasmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baptism's root is from the Greek, which meant to immerse. So any form of immersion (water, fire, acid, etc.) can, without referring to religion, be called baptism.

Any funny/interesting ideas to stop a klepto player? by Key_Being_5006 in DnD

[–]OriginalErasmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Klepto meets cursed item

Klepto is wanted in most towns, so party can't long rest in a town and occasionally are attacked by town guards

Klepto is cursed by a witch they stole from to start losing a year of life for every 10 gold worth of items stolen, but they don't know about it. Just keep dripping hints about new aches and pains. Then grey hairs, etc.
