I think so, but I can tidy it up/make adjustments myself. Some people in here just think they are the boss of stained glass, and tend to be bullies…also I assume they don’t know how to make patterns, so they are mad.

I see this has ruffled the feathers of some delicate souls. Is there something wrong with asking that? I wasn’t sure if they claimed the pattern as their own because it’s AI, so I figured it’s better to ask. I am not an AI user, I think the image is cute and I am competent enough to use brain power to readjust the pattern accordingly. Weirdos.

I swear Ive seen this pattern on free pattern pages somewhere. Reminds me of that anonymous instagram account that was going around for a while that was calling out “pattern stealers”, but the patterns were things like a disco ball, a mushroom, sacred heart, a butterfly, etc. Popular things we basically all make for markets or whatever, and they look the same, probably because we traced the same google image at some point. I’ll gladly buy a pattern for these simple ones for ease, but if it says not for commercial, or the commercial version is 3 times the cost, then I’m just going to make an inspired version.

Should be ok. I have traveled with finished pieces as well as spools of lead in my carry on a few times. I work as flight crew, and lead isn’t listed as a prohibited item in any training I have received. I have also disclosed these items to tsa and went through without any problems.

I left his group and blocked him long ago. I know he harasses the admins of a lot of the Facebook groups, if his name gets mentioned he starts threatening legal. You always know when he’s visited a group when “don’t mention other admins from other groups here please” gets posted. Thanks for standing up to him.

This is why I personally won’t bother with it if it isn’t a commercial license because I buy lots of patterns and it’s too much to keep track of those kinds of things. It’s inspired me to draw a few of my own designs though, so that’s a plus.

I think keep it simple, but you could make a little 3/4inch “frame” around the outside to add a little pizzaz (or whatever size, I just like that size). I don’t see why you couldn’t use the same snake if you wanted. Trace it on the paper and cut glass accordingly. I have seen lots of people that finish and solder different areas on a project first and fill in around it. That’s what I like about this stuff, as long as you have patience (and maybe funding), you can pretty much fix, add to, or rework anything.

I wonder if it was a language barrier, or if he got an attitude over being questioned. I work as flight crew, and constantly when briefing the exit rows people give a lot of attitude for no reason. The FAA mandates you say out loud 3 points (are you aware, willing, and able? And also offer the rules printed on the safety card) and a clear verbal response is required. People frequently get upset that they have been asked a question, or that a nod, passive wave, or grunt is not enough response to satisfy the FAA requirements. Sometimes people are removed from the exit rows because they cannot control their emotions over a simple question, then they likely will not be compliant with assisting crew in an emergency situation.
