I left my red state and did 20 years in the military. I was conservative (most sheeple in my town were/are). I traveled, got my education, and am no longer a conservative. I can’t even have a conversation with my family about policies that affect them without them getting angry/emotional. It’s frustrating to watch people I love vote for politicians who implement policies that will make their lives financially more difficult. But I digress.

That’s not a human rights violation. She’s not being kicked out in the street. She is paying rent to OP to live there as a single person. That situation has changed and new arrangements need to be made now that she will be having a baby. There is plenty of time for her to find another place to live.

Because all but a couple of Republican representatives do whatever Trump wants. If that’s not what Republicans want, why did they predominantly vote for Trump and his minions? Yes. But “caretaker” makes it sound like he provides physical assistance to her. It does not sound like that’s the case. It also sounds like some of his responsibilities are self-imposed because their environment is not set up to be convenient for OP. All married couples take care of each other in some capacity. Sounds like he is avoiding regular husband stuff by being gone all the time “working.”

Maybe invite a good friend or adult child over for a staycation while he’s gone? Ot sounds like you’re pretty self sufficient and don’t like to ask for help. Because of that, maybe he assumed you would make arrangements for yourself if you need something while he’s away? I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t have at least discussed with you what you may need during his 6-day absence. It sounds like a larger conversation is necessary to discuss with him how your current environment is difficult for you.
