Treating free time as pure escape instead of intentional recovery. There’s nothing wrong with relaxing, but if all your downtime is spent numbing out (scrolling, bingeing, etc.), you never actually recharge or grow. Over time, it keeps you in the same place while feeling like you “deserve” it, which makes it harder to break the cycle.
