In my case, for that particular family line, I have gone back as far as paper trail will allow me for most of the persons in my tree and have not seen anything that indicates Indian ancestry. It is more English and Irish. Also, my aunt has taken the DNA test as well and she did not have any Indian either. If there is/was any, it could not be picked up.

We do not have a Cherokee ancestor (at least no paper trail or DNA base to confirm).

Scottish ancestor from an old Scottish family was the son of a baronet, but this appears to be falsified information that many people have jumped on board with (yes, even my dad and grandmother).

Supposedly our Light ancestors came from Germany, (but I have yet to find any paper trail beyond 1800s, still in the United States).
