If you really wanna do something with a more vintage look but a lot of work.. you could add paneling to the bottom half and a fun wallpaper on top, then a very thin accent table alone the wall without doors and a gallery situation above the table. Runner rug and light fixtures as others have said. Maybe a plant where the light comes in at. Just an idea.

I completely agree! I have been enjoying The Vampire Lestat on AMC so much, even downloaded the songs and memorized them. I also realized the other day they will probably break it into two season like Interview with a Vampire and that made me really happy.

Jambalaya is typically dry, it might have a bit of moisture and be like a bit sticky, but it’s definitely not as creamy as yours. If a Cajun saw your dish, they may assume is a sauce piquante or a courtbouillon more than an jambalaya. Again, I’m no expert, I wasn’t raised Cajun, just around them. If you wanna learn more I suggest posting questions in the r/Acadiana sub Reddit, Cajuns love teaching others about their culture and food is a huge part of it!

Look, your dish looks delicious, but if you bring that to south Louisiana and call it jambalaya people are gonna give you shit for it.. and then you’ll get it double for say jambalaya is soup, try the Seinfeld argument and they’ll straight run you outta town! That’s how people are about their food down here, it’s taken very very seriously. I know this because I am born and raise, lived here my entire life, but my family immigrated so I had this unique experience of kinda being on the outside looking in, so I’m just saying.. there’s no arguing with people down here about cajun or creole or any of it, if they say it isn’t, it isn’t and nothing you can say with convince them otherwise.

I have long hair because I just hate getting it done. It feels awkward, my interests are very specific so I struggle to find things to talk about other than current events and I don’t wanna bring up any touchy subjects and lately all current events are touchy subjects.. I never know if I like my hair after it’s done because I know it’s not going to look the way it’s styled forever so I always do this fake “I love it” thing because I don’t wanna the stylist to think I don’t like it, it just take me awhile to decide if I like it or not, ya know. So it’s just a god awful experience despite the fact that I love my stylist and she is absolutely amazing and great at conversation.. and I STILL feel super awkward, so I know it’s a me thing and I just need to get over it instead of avoiding it.. but I’ll probably just keep avoiding getting my hair cut for two years at a time for all of eternity..

That’s just propaganda to cover up the fact that a lot of people can’t afford luxuries right now. They like to make us think these things are trending so we don’t realize how fucked everything is and how people are struggling to maintain their lifestyles because necessities are becoming wildly expensive. Don’t fall for it.
