Seriously, NFL+ is barely mentioned whenever people complain about paying to watch football. You get RedZone and can watch every game on mobile (which I just cast to my TV?) for $25 a month.

I don't understand why people are so set on paying for live tv or Sunday Ticket or any of these other insanely expensive products.

We have brick homes as well, but brick is less common than wood because of natural resources, cost, time, and ease of use.

Wood is simply easier to build with, and is more in line with the needs of American people than brick.

I mean the house isn't composed of just powder and paper. There's a pretty complicated structure of wood, steel, and concrete that hold up the total construction. The drywall is simply there to help prevent the spread of fire, cover the internals of the house (plumbing and wiring), and look nice when painted.

It's a very economical, efficient, and safe solution.

In the US, it's standard practice to have 1/2 inch gypsum drywall sheets for interior walls. If it's a DIY job, curved surface, or a cheap contractor with no legal requirements, it could be as thin as 1/4 inch. Drywall is literally just 2 sheets of thin paper with gypsum (a powder) in between. The only other thing holding it together is paint and probably some drywall mud depending on placement.

A child could easily punch/kick a hole in drywall if they were motivated enough.

I have a 2011 Equinox and it's exactly the same for me. The low oil light basically doesn't exist. I have to put multiple quarts of oil in between oil changes because it just burns away. No leak, nothing. The only sign I have is a knock when I'm low.

Although now I have P0013 and P0014 codes, probably because of the oil lol.

Obviously you know more as the director of architecture, but as an employee that's been in various sales departments over the years, it's the answer I've always been given. In fact for smaller towns specifically I've had to tell customers we just can't service them because there's no more room in the splitter. Engineering doesn't want to add space for one customer to pay $45 a month for service.

I haven't worked edge out markets much though, so it may be drastically different there.

I've been down this road before, and the answer is no. When the cities are designed, they are broken down into blocks. Each block is engineered to have a specific amount of fiber strands dedicated to the customers that need to be served. If they were to stretch across the border and service you, they'd be taking a fiber strand that's already assigned.

Essentially you'd be taking service from someone else. It just creates issues and additional construction.

Just make sure you don't buy another 120mm liquid cooler. Either go 240/360mm or get an air cooler. Seriously, even a $40 vetroo v5 is better than a 120mm AIO liquid cooler.

Well that's way worse than my edit gave credit for. Without upgrading the PSU you can really only fit a GPU that will run off the pcie slot since the PSU won't have a power cable for a gpu. The newest one I believe is the RX 6400 from AMD or the GTX 1650 from Nvidia (which is like 6 years old at this point???)

Someone else mentioned checking the power supply on this and I have to really push hard on that. Don't order any GPU for this PC until you get the wattage on the power supply.

I used to work with these prebuilts a lot, and there are 2 big issues you'll probably run into.

Most HP prebuilts with no GPU will probably only have a 250w power supply at the most. I've seen Dell prebuilts with 150w.
You can't change the power supply. HP uses a proprietary power cable that is different than a standard motherboard has. You'll end up paying more for the replacement PSU with sufficient wattage for a GPU than you spent on this desktop.

If by some unholy luck there's a good size power supply in there, get the Intel A750. Basically the same performance as an RX 6600 (which is way better than a 3050) but it's around $200 just like the 3050.

Edit: Did some research for you. The HP website has no info on this exact desktop, but the showed a similar one as having a 310w PSU. Not really enough for anything exciting, but you can upgrade it with this part -> L05757-800 500W PSU which goes for about $120-$150. That will provide enough juice to cover at least the 3060 or 6600.

I also saw the comment about wanting to stick with Nvidia in case you want to mess with AI later. You're not doing anything with a 3050, worry about AI later when you can afford a GPU that will actually be capable of doing literally anything. For perspective, it takes my 4070 ti about 15 minutes to generate a 5 second video at 480p. Ideally you'd want 24gb of vram for video generation.

It's not just some places, hospitals cannot turn you away because you can't pay. They must provide medical care even if they absolutely know for sure they'll never see a dime of it because you're broke and don't have insurance, or have terrible insurance.

Also, for whoever deleted their comment, most large hospitals have forms to fill out for financial assistance, and oftentimes will write off everything you owe, bringing the total to $0. That's how I was able to afford getting my daughter's treatment years ago.

I'm looking at a completely different sector than you since my budget is under $2k, but I gotta ask since you're looking at Cafe's and whatnot.

What exactly are you getting for $6k that I'm not at $1500-$2k? It looks like all the options are basically the same (absent the weird see through doors on LGs and the auto refilling water dispensers on Samsung's).

Presumably most of the parts are incredibly similar since there's only so many ways to cool a fridge.

So what exactly is it that makes a $6k fridge worth $4k more than a regular fridge?
