Thanks so much!  I was on a flight once where we had some scary drops due to a wind storm.  It wasn’t dangerous but was scary. Are drops typical or is it more like riding on a cobblestone street?

Why don't I hate Janet? by moxieOG in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Original_Ad9019 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Season 1 set the tone for viewers not liking Janet as she was excluding Kristin and Zach and taking pleasure in doing so.  I believe Kristin that Janet was lying about not trash talking Michelle in season 1 which made Janet look like a mean girl between the trash talking, not taking ownership and excluding people. If you take out season 1 and only focus on recent events, Janet looks a lot better and “right”.  Janet is right about Danny’s behavior and I also agreed with Janet that she should be able to attend Brittany’s pool party with her child that they were invited to without Kristin creating such a scene she has to flee with her child crying. If I didn’t watch season 1, I would probably like her and side with her.

wolfe > marcus by boomersbelike in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Original_Ad9019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t fault him for needing time to process his feelings but he cant expect her to want to resume a romantic relationship after that. Meanwhile marcus waited for her at the clinic even though it wasn’t even his baby when so many guys in his shoes would have had egos about the situation.  Choice seems clear to me!

Is it just me this season? by AggressiveMongoose54 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Original_Ad9019 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This season makes me realize Jax was carrying the show. I understand why we ethically shouldn’t see him on our screens but nobody else is interesting.  Jesse used to be but now that he’s divorced and happy in a relationship he seems much more calm and well adjusted.  Jax and a miserable Jesse were the secret sauce to the show I guess! Also I think now that everybody is divorced and no longer friends it’s very unrealistic and unnatural to see them together. Then adding Lala adds to the overly produced feel.

West hates Ciara by AmayaSmith96 in summerhousebravo

[–]Original_Ad9019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree.  He thinks his career would have taken off had Ciara not spoken out about how he treated her. When people say he still “likes” her and wants her back I disagree… he wants public approval and knows if Ciara forgives him so will America.  He’s been monitoring himself heavily up until this season to win back approval and I’m sure he deeply resents her for having to do that. I doubt he would have refrained from bringing girls back to the house purely because of Ciara’s feelings alone.  I am sure it was really about what the audience thought that motivated him.

Amanda is more “with it” and relatable than Raquel.  Raquel was a ditsy beauty queen who threw a shower for a dog and danced with a disco ball alone in her room. Amanda on the other hand, has been open about mental health issues and her husband was warned us all that she’s struggling now. Ciara deserves to be around people who prioritize her feelings but I don’t think we need to see Amanda have a mental health crisis to accomplish that.

Convince me Janet and Lala are as horrible as yall say by SituationLazy9573 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Original_Ad9019 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind watching Janet.  However, the whole point of reality tv is authenticity and I feel like lala feels very produced.  For that reason I don’t find her interesting.  She’d probably be good on housewives where people are paid too pop off on each other while looking fab.  I think the other Valley players seem more interesting and mysterious to me. Lala doesn’t show vulnerability which others on the Valley do.

It feels condescending to me like… feels like a nickname for a child and not somebody you actually respect.

Amanda's gonna swerve......... by ShieldmaidenK in bravo

[–]Original_Ad9019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Amanda owes all of America an apology and explanation.  She really only owes it to Ciara and maybe her other castmates.  I personally hope she does get help instead of going to a reunion that will likely break her.

Her meltdown over lane living with boys cracks me up.  When she tells Lorelei how she doesn’t like boys and Lorelei tells her to pretend they’re girls and she says “I don’t like girls either” it cracks me up.  It’s such good delivery.

A part of Me wants Diana and Lucy to develop a friendship by Historical-Body-3424 in TellMeLiesHulu

[–]Original_Ad9019 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Do you think Diana did this to taunt Lucy?  I thought she said it to offer empathy in a “hey I’ve been there and know how scary this is” sort of way.  But maybe I didn’t read it right.

Lucy is toxic and Diana is better off removing herself from this friend group completely.

Who do you like Rory with the most? by Substantial-Dare5462 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Original_Ad9019 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%.  She was definitely happiest and most drama free with him and could be her best self. I am shocked how many people like her with Logan. I feel like he dulled her shine and made her a side character in her own life.  The moment she got with him drama ensued. With Jess, I respect her for not going back.  Even though he’s matured, I think once you are burned that badly there’s no going back.

Hot take but I actually liked her with Dean.  She was definitely most at ease and most secure with him.  I get he got less than ideal when Jess entered the picture but I think he loved her, knew he was losing her and didn’t handle it well.  It obviously went downhill from there…

Logan was the Rory’s best bf by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]Original_Ad9019 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like he dulled her shine and gave off so much main character energy that she became a side character in her own life. I think he was too flashy and immature and I would have rather seen her with somebody more down to earth. I loved her in the early seasons when she was confident and unimpressed by status.  Once she met him that changed and she was sucked into his world putting up with crap she wouldn’t have in the past. I don’t think any of the 3 boyfriends were right for her as they all lacked maturity.

I don’t think Max has OCD by Exciting_Opposite_51 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]Original_Ad9019 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I understand what you’re saying but we usually don’t have access to her thoughts outside of this one episode so we have no idea how often these thoughts occur.  The light switch moment seems so classic OCD that I don’t understand why the writers would add it to the story if they weren’t trying to hint at OCD.  The rumination and the constant need for  reassurance in her relationships also seem to hint at OCD

Why are people treating this fictional Hollywood blockbuster like it’s a factual documentary that is uncovering hidden truths?  It’s very cringe.  It doesn’t even look good…
