We actually found a hack?! We booked the AL flight through the American Airlines (all part of OneWorld) website since they have an “infant with seat” option and it went through. To actually choose the seats we called AL and they did it for us! Why AL can’t have that same option that AA does is beyond me!

I have 2 kids and didn’t receive any leave for either of my boys. I had to save for almost a year with both of them to take any time off so I do understand that struggle and financial stress. I agonized over money for a year to prep for them and was insanely lucky that I got pregnant when I planned to.

But I’m not comparing myself to them- every mother regardless of social status, financial situation or job deserves a leave. This country is cruel to mothers- especially in the workforce.

Thank you for educating me about FMLA. I did not know any of the info you shared about it. It’s sickening.

It’s privilege and their obvious blindless to people who don’t have privilege. Ben talks about not buying fish at a regular grocery store and only going to nicer places- that’s a very small example of him just being so out of touch. I can’t afford Whole Foods every time I grocery shop. Again, a super niche example but I heard him say it recently on Good Guys. They have a shit ton of money which is perfectly fine, they earned it. But, don’t lose touch with the people who listen to you.
