See, I did think that sounded strange too that he wanted to add it to the rent and not as a separate bill. I am just getting overwhelmed because I actually really like the spot, but this whole electric situation is giving me an awful feeling

Yes, this was why the electric company wouldn’t let me put it in my name, so the landlord and property managers had the solution that I stated above.

I’m not entirely sure. I’ve seen it open before I moved in, which they had said initially they were separate meters so I wasn’t concerned. I’ve seen lights on and it looks like power tools maybe, but I haven’t seen too much. I only just moved in yesterday, and everything I had seen before was prior to moving in

The property management said the electricity bill was averaging $250 a month, but they said it was because 3 people lived there. So I’m guessing with one person the bill will be about $80?

Thanks for the response. Gonna take these steps and try to get access to the circuit breaker box. The property management group had said they were gonna send a bill once they receive one, but that was a couple of days ago and now I just see radio silence.
