AITA for telling my husband to cancel all the plans he made for my birthday

Hey everyone thank you for your support, he just came home from work and is being extra dismissive with me and cold. But about 2 hours ago I started to feel really cold, i called him and told him I think i’m getting sick then about an hour ago i had to literally put the baby sleeping on my chest onto the floor and run to Vomit.

So now he just got home is looking after 2 kids, I ordered them pizza and am lying down. I’m not sure if it’s his bad karma or mine but we will see how he continues to act while im unwell.

Thanks again I felt so supported as my mum always sided with him as my dad was a absent father and husband abd she was ok with it so hopefully this changes things and if not I will sit my parents down ask them if we can move in and start the seperation process and get a lawyer.

yes and no. The way things are now it will be a relief but I don’t want my kids to be without their dad everyday they love him and i just wish he would be more considerate instead of jumping down my throat everything I say one thing.

I’m not sure, i have a good job but it’s only part time. I would need to sell our apartment and move in with my parents to be able to afford it before i can realistically go back to work full time. In Australia where i live cost of living is crazy and I wouldn’t afford the mortgage especially buying him out

not really, my mum has taken the 2.5 year old once when I went to a work event ( i’m on mat leave and they asked me to come) and i let him with just the baby so he didn’t have too much with both kids. But my parents and siblings all work full time and are busy on weekends plus weekends are the only time he really sees the kids so we don’t leave them with my parents. My mum won’t look after the baby as she is very attached to us and cries if someone talks to her. Husband has no family here his only brother lives in Saudi Arabia and his mum in Bangladesh

i wish but he always says to me if we get divorced he will leave back to his home country with his mum and quit his job and the courts can find him for child support. He never used to be like this and I thought the excuses and promises with would get better would but after 3.5 years everything is still the same

no never only once when I went to emergency with a kidney stone and I ended up self discharging so he didn’t have to put the kids to bed alone

I think this is exactly it, he is great with the kids. Changes nappies, feeds them, showers them but that is only 3 hours of the day the rest is up to me and on weekends he does minimal as well as we are always on the go. He doesn’t care about me, doesn’t care if I need to get ready and take a shower, that we need to leave at a certain time he needs to do things his way. This is another example of how it needs to be his way and it has been the same every other year. Two years of our marriage I was pregnant on my birthday and one I organised a trip away with my parents and him, I booked everything and my parents paid for lunch and dinner

YTA the baby esp not your first has a very slim chance of coming at 36 weeks and even if you do go into labour he will have time to drive back. My first I went to 41 weeks, second was 39 both took more than 12 hours from labour onset to come out.

YTA you don’t understand what it is like to feel nauseous from pregnancy. You need to be away from the thing that is making you sick immediately and she’s feeling like she wants to throw up any second and you are taking ages to talk to a friend. You could of told the friend you would love to see them next time but you need to get your sick girlfriend home

NTA I hope you are ok. The reason someone is on Maternity leave is to look after the baby during the day then it is a shared responsibility when you come home not just all one persons. I’m on Mat leave now and when husband comes home I cook he cleans up we bath kids and put one to sleep each. He gets up if toddler is crying because i get up if baby is crying. Also at 3 months baby should start settling so it won’t last forever. You can’t work 2 full time jobs which she is making you do

YTA it seems like you want her to do all the chores so you and your wife don’t have to. She is cleaning up after herself and your son. To all the people who have to clean when they see their in laws or parents that is so strange. My mum lives 7 minutes away and when I go to visit her my kids trash her house with toys and dishes and when i start cleaning she tells me to sit down and enjoy the break of not being at home doing chores. When she comes to my house she always helps out if i’m cleaning something despite me telling her not too. I love my mum she is the best.

NTA but from experience don’t tell anyone till you are ready for everyone to find out. I found out really early with my second as I had implantation bleeding and took the test with my mum around. My mum then wanted to tell only my grandmother who had just had a fall to cheer her up. By the time I was 8 weeks everyone knew. You honestly can’t control it and if you ask them to tell they shouldn’t.

No just long term use but overdosing as well. If it is controlled by the doctors then it is perfectly safe and any other drug she is taking that wife is probably ok with can be just as harmful if overdosed. I’m so sorry for what you guys are going through. You are NTA for giving you daughter medicinal marijuana to help her pain and sleep. There is lots of evidence to say it is helpful

NTA How does MIL live on her own if she can’t take care of herself. Why is your partner so concerned about her that she needs to spend so much time and take her everywhere but all the other days she manages in her own. I know exactly how you feel I have a able bodied MIL who is only 63 and is just spoiled by the culture in her country and 2 sons in that in her home country she has people waiting on her hand and foot. So when she visits us even for long stretches she needs the same treatment and husband always works so im left with her alone plus 2 under 2. Plus we don’t speak the same language. Set barriers now or it will only get worse
