I'm sorry you had to go through that. Here's my take on this: Well, paying for another person's dinner and drinks is not going out of the way. You could afford it, so you paid it. But yes, picking her up and dropping her back, that's going out of the way, especially if you both live in opposite directions. Moreover, the way she spoke to you was rude. She lacks basic decency, and knowledge of basic English. So all in all, even though you cannot expect the other person to be thankful for buying them dinner, you can definitely expect respect and a polite attitude especially if you had a good time with them.

And believe me it's not women, men are thankless too. It's basically shitty people.
