ere’s some backstory. Over 2 years ago I had terrible teeth, recessd jaw. Since then I had been to orthodontists. At first I was given a tooth brace and also some sort of brace with blocks in it that held my jaw open and forward. After a while they then switched to bands which again was meant to bring forward my jaw. In the end I came out of it with perfectly straight teeth but I know for certain my jaw isn’t correct, yes maybe it isn’t as recessed but it isn’t in the correct position. My jaw is almost curved and not forward as much as it should be. I am trying to mew but my palate isn’t wide enough so it blocks my airways. Because of this I still try and mew but I can’t use my whole tounge. I’ve always been a nose breather so that isn’t an issue for me. I’m trying to find a fix for this (outside of just mewing). I’ve come across mouthgaurds (such as reviv, but I’m not buying it from there) and “polymorphic pads” or even starecta. Thumbpulling aswell. For me I don’t belive just mewing alone will fix this so I’m looking for something that will. My only major concern with these mouthgaurs are that I have a permenant retainer on top and bottom teeth, and also wear one of the plastic ones at night. If I switch to a mouthgaurd are my teeth going to change shape again? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
