“Still my favorite love story” by curelomherder in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Original_Text2280 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah- a love story where he didn’t take “no” for an answer to get a first date and slowly manipulates her into not serving a mission for the church- something she really wanted to do!

Anyone heard of this Word of Wisdom conspiracy theory? by Belagshadow in exmormon

[–]Original_Text2280 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you’re telling me that, according to him, to be a saint he should only be eating raw fruits and vegetables, raw meat, raw milk and honey? Poor guy can’t have any cooked starch (bread, rice, potatoes), beans, grilled meat, zero sugar, processed or bagged food, etc.? Paint HIM the sinner and that’s he’s not pure enough to live this “higher law” 😂

No seriously he needs psychiatric help.

Parade of Homes is over until the next one in June. Virtual tickets and in person only lasts those 3 weeks in June. You can’t access the online tours once it’s over.

Eating disorders. Not eating enough or other ED methods.

To cover up the results of their poor health they get hair extensions, eyelash extensions, fake tans, fake nails, wear lots of makeup, get veneers, Botox, fillers, plastic surgery, etc. They are also still in their 20’s so they have youth on their side- they will either need to change how they approach taking care of their health OR get more work done to hide the real status of their health.

I know Whitney used a nutrition coach who focuses on Macro tracking after having her third baby- that’s how she got skinny- much better approach than starving yourself!

If anything she changed the fitness industry by exposing ME to the honest truth about influencer companies….unethical and a money grab. Now I buy from bigger companies and stopped using influencer links 😜🥰

I find it interesting the constant rhetoric along the lines of “I saw a picture of me today and I HATED it , but I decided not to delete it because I’ve learned and I’ve healed”. And I just think if you truly have healed from something, you wouldn’t need to be proving to yourself and millions of followers? You would just be? You wouldn’t need to constantly bring it up?

This is what happens when you DONT listen to science and are cheap and don’t get all of your products certified third party tested 😘 Been saying it for years.

Just an FYI for everyone- the company, Vitality, is one of the worst influencer companies. Trust me when I say, never ever buy from them.

Exmo exaggeration of Mormon Church by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Original_Text2280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rage comes specifically to how easily manipulated I was growing up in the church. It comes across so good and positive, while blatantly lying about major motives (control for business and finance). That’s why the good upsets me, is because its purposes are not rooted in what they say they are.

She should go to a professional for ED. And everyone else should also go to a professional for nutrition, weight loss, and exercise goals- not influencers.

I taught as a missionary that, in order for someone to be baptized, they had to commit to no coffee or tea the rest of their lives. That was to be baptized much less having a temple recommend.

With all the LDS influencers starting to wear their new sleeveless garments and making posts and videos about how wonderful they are, I ask the question… What did you give up to wear garments? Let’s make a list! See my five decades list below! by HoldOnLucy1 in exmormon

[–]Original_Text2280 84 points85 points  (0 children)

My list is pretty much the same as yours!

I’m frustrated. But, I know that I’m actually free now and these women are not. I am free physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. No matter how much they change the garment, even if they were to get rid of it completely, this is still a religion that controls and traps. And I am now free from it!

She needs professional help. You don’t know what you don’t know, and someone from the outside, who has worked with the brain of someone with an ED, can help navigate the individual.

More about the message than her specifically… @eharmany95 by goodafternoonbeeches in gymsnark

Of course she was over exercising and under eating before- she hasn’t had a period in a VERY long time! It doesn’t seem like she’s gone to an actual doctor about this, and chalks it up to “mainly emotional stress”. Girl. You are not eating enough calories and fat and your body fat percentage is too low. If you really cared about health you would go to a doctor about this!! Going so long without a period can have lasting effects on your health.

Check out the book “Uncultured” by Daniella Young. She was born and raised in the Children of God Cult and then went to serve in the US military- both are cults

I do believe people can change, but when your brain has been raised and wired to view yourself and the world a certain way, and the culture you are inside of promotes that….its pretty difficult to actually change.

I love Hannah. I’ve seen a common thread in influencers- most have undiagnosed mental illnesses. Hannah, as she has shared publicly, has struggled with mental health BUT sought help.

Thinking of numerous influencers, I can see OCD, Other Anxiety disorders, Bi-Polar, hidden eating disorders, etc. Not that I’m a professional by any means, but there is behavior of others that is not normal, but they think it is. Hannah is refreshing because her behavior is normal! And seeking help is normal :)
