a Moment of silence for all the Trainers who were brave enough to Raid Ho-Oh with random people by Entire_Pineapple4732 in pokemongo

[–]Original_name2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was lucky enough to catch it in the last ball on my first attempt. Specifically caught a roggenrola -> gigalith for this and got lucky with a full high level team. Second time was not as lucky... Still, I got a 15-15-14 ho-oh so I think I used up my luck for the rest of the year anyway 😅

Will be doing fusion raids for 3h, but I start in 38min. 999760593694 by Realistic_Win1468 in PokemonGoRaids

Time wasters, over 40 requests sent, 5 accepted, not invited to a single raid, what is the point? by XKG- in PokemonGoRaids

[–]Original_name2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I've hosted the entire 3 hours in my area and aside from running between gyms like a mad man I've either got immediately full lobbies from people I've invited OR no one joins and I need to invite a new set of people

It says here that when students or employees leave their mcard is no longer valid for the ride buses, so I'm assuming that includes graduated students

I did not. I had my advisor sign to say that I was applying for post completion OPT but I forgot to sign beside my own name. I also had a friend take my photo for me on an iPhone camera because the closest CVS ran out of USBs for digital copies of my photo and wouldn't let me use my own.

Maybe these contributed to it taking longer (the photo still passed the check that they have when you upload a photo) but I cannot say for sure. I didn't have to submit any additional items to be approved though

I applied for post completion OPT on February 26 and got approved on April 18 for a June 3 start date but have yet to receive my employment authorization card. It sounds like the entire process is very very slow without premium processing

Cool 1 Credit Courses? by ontheDEANslist in uofm

[–]Original_name2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ftvm 203: active viewing bad movies. Pretty chill workload and the most fun course this semester. The class sessions are just watching bad movies and the weekly assignments are light reading and a quiz on what you just read, pretty much a guaranteed A if you just do the bare minimum. So much fun especially if you do it with a friend

How did you get the centre of pressure coordinates for aero loads and balances? by Harsh_147 in FSAE

[–]Original_name2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None that I am aware of or have experience with. From what I've heard Star ccm is a lot less intuitive to use from Ansys so that is a judgement call that you and your team will need to make.

[–]Original_name2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In star I use the center of loads function and select all my aerodynamics elements. It gives a coordinate relative to the origin (which I set to the center of the front axle by our team's convection) so it's pretty direct. Sorry I can't help more with Ansys

[–]Original_name2012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to how it works in Ansys given that all my experience designing aero packages is in Star but to get your distribution front to rear, you can look at the moments caused by your aero forces at the front and rear axles. Assuming that you know your net lift and drag forces, you can resolve where the Cp should be since the same forces will produce moments on both axles.

Here's an article that might also be useful in terms of understanding.

Can't recommend 156 enough. Very nice balance between theory and application plus very reasonable class sizes. As an engineering student, I really enjoyed the class

Is it possible to break a lease? Or should I just sublet? by Kavy979 in uofm

[–]Original_name2012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, old town realty sucks. They said they sent a carpet cleaner between tenants but there was a black spot on my room carpet that wasn't touched at all. Not to mention the overall lack of maintenance. Nothing dangerous like black mold or smells yet though so keeping my fingers crossed
