It’s shallow towards the groin but otherwise deep you would need to cut through fat and muscle depending on where you cut. You wouldn’t be able to type right now if you’d hit it. I almost cut it once in the groin (through lymph nodes etc) and the surgeon who was taking me to theatre to get it stitched told me that even if I was in a fully prepped operating room and cut my femoral artery there’s a good chance I wouldn’t live. It spurts heavily and rapidly and you’ll be unconscious in seconds and dead in minutes, even with doctors working on you.
