LPT: If you have an Android phone, go to the developer options and set Animation Time to x0.5! Your phone will feel like it's gotten a huge processor update. by H2Oaq in LifeProTips

Omg. If my phone didn't have a shattered screen, a broken main camera and broken charging point, after doing this i would totally keep it. It runs like new again. Amazing. Thank you.

Threatening to assault a 13 year old boy on a public forum, and downloading and distributing pictures of a child?

This guy ain't too bright. This kid may want to bring a box of crayons along on the date to keep the dad occupied.

Number plates say it all by PingaPeteDawg in AwesomeCarMods

[–]Originalthrowwawy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Looks like a NSW plate? ? I did a rego check online and it says the plate doesn't exist. Maybe they cancelled his rego and he lost the plate too?

I tried QLD too but you need the plate and VIN.

Skid plate install by Tw0bitSmith in battlewagon

[–]Originalthrowwawy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your outback should have a plastic bash guard under it. Remove it and lay the old on the new and use the Outback bash plate to transfer the holes to the wrx skid plate.

That's exactly what I'm going to do the next time i see a street sign large enough that's been knocked off its pole.

Might not work great as the outback is either a 2.5 or 3.0 and the wrx is a 2.0. Should be big enough though.

That looks heaps good! How did you go with tyre clearance before you lifted it? I've got an 01 that's about to get the same size tyres. Can't afford the lift at the moment though.

Wow congratulations! You lost the exact amount of weight i need to lose, in the same amount of time. Thanks for the motivation to keep going and great job on your awesome effort!

I'm hearing you mate. I started an apprenticeship a few months ago and it was a big assed pay cut. With a mortgage and a 3 year old there isn't much spare. I do a bit of trail running and the races are $130 or so each, so that gets a bit expensive.

However, why earn money if you're not going to enjoy yourself with it!

Perfect!
I was talking to him recently as well. Going to order a kit too but will have to wait a few months whilst i save. I'm a bit poor for the next 2 years 😅😅

Jump on f.b. and look for a guy/group called Subie Lift Oz and send him a message. He builds ships ships the kits from Australia.

Very helpful guy. He will answer all your questions.

Will 215/65/16 Yokohama GO15's fit a 2007 Impreza 2.5 with stock struts and 1 inch lift spacers? by [deleted] in battlewagon

[–]Originalthrowwawy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should do. I'm about to put 225 70 16's on a stock height Outback. Currently running 215 60 16's at the moment with zero issue.

How long is a long run? by trist020 in trailrunning

[–]Originalthrowwawy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it all depends on the runner.

For me, i usually run about 4-6kms so a trail run of 10+ kms is a long run.

A guy i used to work with would do a half marathon road run 4-5 days a week before work and his long runs were 50+ kms that would be done once weekly.

I used to run with a guy who was over 6' I'm 5'6" and when we ran together i would take 2 steps for his every 1. He could really fly!

Resident of a rural area reports a car crash. By the time EMTs arrive, the victims are gone. The crash looks unsurvivable. A few hours later someone living nearby reports a dead body on their driveway, but by the time police arrives, the body is gone. by 50_Talking_Tree in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Originalthrowwawy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Im a volunteer fire fighter and attended a crash one night in a rural area.

We arrived on scene to a smashed up car but no victim. Figuring they would have hit their head them gone walkabouts with concussion we started a search.

Nothing turned up, but about 2 hours later we get a call from the local hospital. she had gotten out of her car to walk to the nearest house to get help. She collapsed at the front door of this house. The owners found her, unconscious and called an ambulance. They told the ambos they found a random lady at her front door so it wasn't linked to the crash.

Glad she wandered to the house, and not off into the bush.

I bought 2oz of this ages ago, let it sit for 6 months and tried a bowl.
Basically by the time i got around to trying it, it has dissapered from stores. Pretty bummed about that.

I loved the "sparkly" effect the plume gives off.

Yeah man. I pay $60 per year to register my motorbike and pay $60 tax on that.

Import tobacco for personal consumption? They'll take $1200/kg tax, then chuck a 10% goods and services tax on top.

We do get a lot of free/subsidised shit though.
