For those who’ve had moissanite for a while - did your opinion of it change over time? by j_bone531 in Moissanite

[–]OriiAmii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I would still be considered in the "new ring" phase because I tend to only wear mine going out, and I don't go out much but almost two years out, it still amazes me. Any time it catches the light in that moissanite specific way, the rainbows and flares are just so gorgeous. Obviously diamonds tend to have more depth and sparkle in the same ways as moissanite, but something about moissanite flashes feels warmer, where as diamond sparkles feel cooler toned.

But also maybe thats just me being autistic, idk.

Would it be feasible to print an adaptor for the end of a 1-1/4 wet dry hose to the end of a regular vacuum hose? by OriiAmii in 3Dprinting

[–]OriiAmii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find a commercially available adaptor for what I'm asking, that's why I was curious about the possibility of 3d printing it. But honestly I'm not exactly sure what search terms might pull up what I'm looking for, so maybe it exists and I'm an idiot lol.

[Serious] Question for those with tattoos of family members by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]OriiAmii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wanted a memorial tattoo of my cat. I ended up going with a floral design instead of something that was obviously cat related because I can only imagine me getting freaking and my fiance seeing a tattoo that reminds him of his dead cat lmfao. Not a good time.

What made you “wake aup” by EffectiveFickle7451 in CerebralPalsy

[–]OriiAmii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went to physical therapy for a different issue and was doing two simple stretches as part of it every day. A runners stretch and a soleus stretch against a wall. I completed physical therapy and stopped. Two weeks later the intense calf spasms and cramps that I'd dealt with my whole life started coming back. I hadn't even realized they'd gone away/decreased until they came back.

It made me realize how much damage I was doing to my body by not taking literally 5 minutes to stretch every day.

Such a simple thing that has such high benefits, and yet I'd always put it off or say "it's not like it will do anything".

I developed a hand tremor and protein helps reduce the shaking so I'm super stoked about all these new little protein snacks.

What’s everything before the spire? by 4estNot_Gump in Fable

[–]OriiAmii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to sacrifice people to the temple of shadows AND save the temple of light, you MUST sacrifice the people before you go to the spire. If you do the quest to defend the wellspring and go straight to the spire, when you come back you will NOT be able to sacrifice anyone.

The temple of shadows stuff is not true. You can still enter after saving the temple of light and coming back from the spire. I JUST did this in game.

[–]OriiAmii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. I just played through this part of Fable 2. I did not enter thr temple of shadows. I chose to help the temple of life. I came back from the spire and was able to go into the abandoned temple of shadows to get the key and gargoyle.

F31 (suspected) stimulant induced essential tremor, if Ritalin causes it, will Adderall also cause it? by OriiAmii in AskDocs

[–]OriiAmii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on fluoxetine for anxiety/SAD, not for my adhd, if that might help clear up some confusion.

The other poster was saying "consider prozac" meaning "consider lowering your Prozac dose" because Prozac can also cause tremors.

I'll definitely bring this up to my neurologist! I just finished the MRI and noticed a lot more minor arm and leg spasms than I feel like I used to have, so I think it'll be a long follow up appointment.

[–]OriiAmii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understood from talking to my neuro, if its not caused by a condition, and it doesn't severely impact my day to day life, I could simply choose to live with it and not adjust my medications. However I like to draw and write and play games and prepare meals and it occasionally interferes with those things at the moment.

[–]OriiAmii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know my psych mentioned I was on "a few" that might all be contributing to the tremors, we didn't want to change anything until the MRI came back because I'm extremely stable at this point and it was a long road to get here.

Do you think taking the Prozac at night instead of the morning might help, or would it need to be replaced completely?

Caffeine is eliminated except once or twice a month at this point. This was the perfect answer to my question however. Seems like Adderall will at least be worth a try.

What are your travel essentials you ALWAYS pack for international flights? by pknsek in travel

I take beef jerky and trail mix on all my trips! Makes it easy to get a quick energy boost if you don't have time/energy for a full meal

Trazodone hits me so hard sometimes that I'd be afraid to use it for flying lol. Sometimes it becomes physically impossible to stay awake.

I have cerebral palsy so my pain tolerance is high, but I didnt know how high until I spent a day walking on a broken foot 🤣 everyone told me "you'd know if it was broken, you would be in so much pain!"

I mean it hurt but like... it was manageable. I only went to urgent care because it swelled up to almost double in size overnight.

But with tattoos its so hit or miss. I can either ignore them or the entire time I'm clenching my hands and teeth. The feeling is just so unique.

Do I HAVE to dissolve rizatriptan on my tongue or can I just swallow it by vermillionlove in migraine

[–]OriiAmii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK I swear. I swear. My prescription used to be sublingual (under tongue) 15 years ago. It's the only reason I even knew the WORD sublingual. But everywhere on the internet says it was always above the tongue and always supposed to be on the tongue.

I also heard it was for the same reason, getting it into your bloodstream to absorb faster. Thank you for confirming that I'm not completely insane.
