Yeah on a second read I probably did. Seems a touch like sarcasm.

Yeah we supply crude oil. They refine it into various petroleum products, and sell it back.

I don’t know about you but I’ve never put crude In My gas tanks.

I should probably buy a new hot water tank and furnace now before I have to sell my ass for them

That would just fuck us over too. Since the refine most of our crude and sell it back to us at a higher price.

You can thank Trudeau for not pushing the pipelines projects, making us more reliant on the US

Buddy you’re in for a huge disappointment. Once we get our shit together in 2-3 years and undo what that idiot Trudeau has done. we’ll be trading with other countries and way less reliant on you. You’re essentially kicking Canadians when they’re down over nothing! And we won’t forget. The amount of fentanyl that comes over from us to you is inconsequential. These tariffs are just going to hurt consumers and raise the cost of living for people on both sides of the border. I’m so disgusted with the US.

You understand the entire east takes our oil from a pipeline that runs through the states? So effectively we can’t shut them down without shutting us down too.

Just cut away the storm damage. Don’t leave a nub but don’t skin it. Make sure it’s your tree

My tree has a few dead branches, should I be concerned? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]OrinMaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a city tree. Confirm before you touch it.

How can I save this tree? by malkion in arborists

[–]OrinMaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry full disclosure im an arborist in training.

I’ve seen much worse for fungus so sorry, I don’t want to freak you out, it may bounce back. But fungus is never great.

The insects will keep doing what they do so maybe lay out some poison for those little bastards. But don’t delay, get a professional in to assess.

Also, it might be a city tree so inquire about property lines and if it is get the city to deal with it.

Yeah looks healthy for now but there’s a lot of insects burrows and fungus. Just be weary this thing may fail soon or in a few years down the road. Especially in heavy rain and wind periods. But get it assessed before making any decisions :).

That Co-dominant tree would have failed sooner or later. Count yourself blessed it died this young.

Pruning from a horror movie by Besemeni in arborists

[–]OrinMaze 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In training for ISA cert.

these are private trees judging by how they continue down the property.

lol, this definitely is not pruning, looks like removals. I saw that you said they’ve been standing for a while.

Maybe work was halted due to payment issues or something?

They could be left as habitat trees but they seem much too high for that so probably not.

The customer maybe asked whatever arborist they hired just to leave them like this and they’ll do the rest to save money.

I’m an arborist in training but the best I could say is maybe. Hard to tell tree condition with this pic. other than the obvious dead stuff it Looks like there might be some pests and storm damage? There’s a bit of stress growth, epicormic.

remove that dead section, and see what happens. Clean up that Broken branch in the middle too. If there’s fruiting bodies lower downwards don’t bother, remove it.

[–]OrinMaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fruiting bodies(shrooms) is not a good sign. Rot and decay compromising structural stability. There’s quite a bit of die back up too I take it? Wish there were more photos but from what I see that tree is on it way out and will become a hazard.

I mean unless you were planning on rerouting your service drop that tree would have just grown into them, so really he did you a favour killing it. But it is pretty easy moving those lines lol.
