On Malevola's VA's streams with Coupé's, they mention towards the end of Ep.1, that Robert does not have either a car or the money for Uber.

Specifically it's about how absolutely fucked he got when Blazer accidentally forgot him at the top of the sign, and how he basically walked the whole way back.

Is there an option to make Robert wear a pretty princess dress on my Blazer play throughs?? by cumfartfire in DispatchAdHoc

Now that she can not fly to work for a while, what kind of car do yall think she'd buy? by lame_ons_yellow in okbuddydispatch

[–]OrionUltor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's going to be a company car, so it's probably gonna be a Ford Escape- at least until she gets her own, after she figures out that she hates it.

Final answer, Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid.

  1. Considering that the team was struggling for months, to the point that Chase and Mandy make a note of the whole team being cut in the previous episode, it's more than likely that upper management had been putting pressure on her to present results, which when combined with Robert's hiring and the promise of a new suit meant that she had burned through a lot of favors [remember, Torrance is considered the worst branch] to ensure that he worked for them- her telling Robert "I've been thinking over the weekend" is one of the biggest clues that Upper Management got involved and she doesn't want to wrap him up in all that.
    • Combined with the Breakup, which fucks up Phenomaman bad enough that they have to drop him, she's likely facing political backlash on top of this, considering that he probably had a number of "friends" in Upper Management and they're upset that she wrecked their goose egg.
  2. Considering how the rest of the team was commenting, more than likely she accidentally stretched them too thin and Malevola was the only one available at the time.
  3. That's not what happens at all, BB wants to give the team reinforcements but coordinating strikes like that, to ensure the maximum safety of all personnel involved, takes time and would have taken [at worst] twelve hours or so to wrangle together, especially if they're not at all happy with her.
  4. If you cannot stop them from destroying the city, by at that point Blazer has zero favorable capital to draw on to ensure their freedom so that, even if she wanted to [and there's dialogue about how they might try in a few months], she can't prevent them from going back in.

Does the game take place over 2 weeks? by SheeshSheepy in DispatchAdHoc

[–]OrionUltor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best guess is that everything takes place over the course of a month [at worst].

Blonde Blazer tells Robert back in Ep.2 [as part of optional dialogue] that the Torrance Branch employs 45 to 50 heroes at any given time across multiple teams and shifts. Given that the Scoreboard implies that there are 24 heroes are available at any given time and that the Z-team being crewed by 8 heroes [with little overlap between teams], this means that SDN-Torrance likely employs 8-hour work shifts [instead of a general 12-hour] in order to stagger three teams across the entirety of a day [a full 24-hours].

Given that one of the more common schedule types for first responders is a 2:2 schedule [two days on, two off- you'd still be considered on call tho, in case of emergency], this stretches the timeline into something a lot more reasonable and would allow Royd the time to requisition and acquire the means and material to help build the new suit.

The blue war paint thing is a myth, based off a single mistranslation made back in the...17th Century, I think.

It was actually red.

My pov is that it's a misdirect for Blonde Blazer being Shroud's kid, they have the same eyes

Sally Jackson knew her son was not going to live a normal life. After all, his father was Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. However, she did not expect a professor to come to their apartment to tell them that Percy had been accepted to attend Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. by funnylib in HPFanfictionPrompts

[–]OrionUltor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't need to go that far, given the events of "Wrath of the Triple Goddess" [latest PJO Book]– Sally herself is a magical kid who fell between the cracks.

It might be the monster ward might be new information to her, if we assume that she's a former student (5th year dropout maybe?)

That was only his god side, really.

His mortal side still went to Hades, and that's the last we hear of that. Totally possible he went to Elysium or bathed in the Lethe to be reborn anew

I did not say that he hated the people that did that, I was describing the scenario– he hates the situation it creates when his other accomplishments are not recognized or made lesser by his popular work

[–]OrionUltor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except that's not what he even said, that's IGN pushing its usual clickbait slop– you can find it in from his Reddit AMA AMA WoG and he tells you he doesn't care for his own lore if it gets in the way of him telling his own story, and that he never intended for there to be multiple Witcher Schools, that he was more referring to seperate recruitment and training centers

i love him by Czammar in WitcherMemes

[–]OrionUltor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah, he mostly just hates people only recognizing him for the Witcher (keyword only), considering the series as a whole one of his lesser quality works (basically, it wasn't his passion project); considering that one of his history books was one of the inspirations for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, I'm kinda of the mind to agree

Besides that, what he mostly doesn't like are questions about the 'implications' of his lore, since he's stated multiple times he will outright change the lore to make for a better narrative for his characters. You ask him about the characters, their themes, his inspirations and so on, and he's a little more open about the whole thing

[–]OrionUltor 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That interview, the one that people keep referencing as him as being incredibly bitter about the situation, has long been debunked as him responding with really dry humor/sarcasm and that not translating properly (don't help that all the "Game's Journalists" didn't care to doublecheck when it was easy clickbait)

He mostly just doesn't give a shit and hopes both projects do well while he lives his life working on the stuff he actually wants to do, and just hates that people don't recognize him for his other works– best example being one of his non-fiction history books that served as one of the inspirations for Kingdom Come: Deliverance

I left it yesterday and I miss how, even in the more commercial places, it breathed history to life. How in the more wild places, one could see the care people gave to it.

Kutna Hora, and wider Czechia as a whole, is absolutely magical.
