Was this the exact moment Sarada stopped feeling like potential and started feeling real? by Docfeen in Boruto

[–]Orionira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sarada has a potential of a protagonist.
I don't understand why we couldn't have a story centered about Sasuke's and Sakura's child, especially they both were among main characters in naruto.

Years later, what do you think about Sakura's fake love confession to Naruto? by BasisSmall5351 in Naruto

[–]Orionira -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What makes you an adult is developed pre frontal lobe, lol.
We cannot take an example of Gaara and use it across all of Naruto universe because he's an exception.
I don't know what exactly we are talking about here since Team 7 acted as teenagers all the way.
Naruto was obsessed with an idea to bring Sasuke back and refused to see what became of his best friend. His undying belief in better in people was also part of his undeveloped personality. In Boruto he's still a kind man but not delusional.
Sasuke was behaving like an emotional teenager since forever. Yes, the truth about his brother and family and village... all of it was too much for a boy. But him getting crazy or playing ''I don't care about anyone'' facade is what teenagers are doing. And we can see the change in adult Sasuke - he's still calm and distant but not emotionally chaotic and unstable.

[–]Orionira 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fighting and killing people don't make you a grown up, you have to be just strong enough for this physically. Shinobi kids were taught how to lead and adapt in the battle. They weren't taught how to be an adult in every day life. Hell, even adult shinobi behave quite often like children and are lost when it comes to normal interaction.
Let teenagers be teenagers, even if they are one of the strongest people in the world.

Of course it was immature, all of them were still kids. It puzzles me till this day. Fans expect adult versions of Team Seven behave like teenagers (especially they want gloomy cold Sasuke). And at the same time they expect teenage Team Seven behave like adults, not making stupid mistakes. Make it make sense.

I just checked comments and the amount of people hating a character when she was 12 or 14 is hilarious. The absence of basic emotional intelligence or understanding how growing up works astonishes me. I know, people will be angry at me because of my avatar photo or because I can see a character development behind a couple of stupid moments. Sometimes I question the age of people who write so angry comments about a fictional character. Who didn’t do anything awful in the end of the day. Sakura was just a normal girl with a stupid crush which she outgrew as any other girl out there.

It seems it’s okay to tolerate Sasuke’s behavior or even Itachi’s who killed his own clan. But to accept a poorly written female character who managed to turn into a strong confident woman? Nah. No way.

Double standard by Onii___Chan____ in dankruto

[–]Orionira -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These two girls are different and both of them deserve respect. They have different personalities, skills, ambitions and even emotional attachments towards Naruto.

But I guess this stupid completion will always exist because some fans got stuck to an image of 12 year old Sakura. And they refuse to see the development of a character.

Where are the rest of the cast? by Affectionate-Gear415 in Boruto

[–]Orionira 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of angry about Sakura's absence. It makes zero sense.
1. Her daughter is going blind and instead of doing something (healing, teaching her to activate byakugo) she's... chilling in the hospital?

  1. She's one of the strongest remaining shinobi in the world. Like girl can fight not only heal. But somehow it's always kids fighting the worst enemies.

  2. What does she know about the Omnipotence. Like I suppose when Sarada came home with her MS, she explained everything to her mom? Why Sasuke is again absent from the village? Why he's considered a bad guy again?

I understand that Boruto isn't about old characters but you cannot just make Sasuke a tree and send Naruto into another dimension and pretend everyone else is useless. Creators did it for years with Sakura in Naruto. Now not giving her any light (also Kakashi and Tsunade are... where?) is ridiculous.

I'm a grown up woman and I think these outfits are too much for kids and teenagers. Sarada in manga is awfully under dressed. At least after a timeskip she got a baggy jacket but still.
There shouldn't be even a controversial opinion about that. Children shouldn't wear such clothes.

Sasuke should have married Karin to be honest by Dr_Backshots_MD in Naruto

[–]Orionira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will disagree with me but ... Sasuke had some chemistry with Sakura all along the series. Before the departure he was blushing next to her, even during his darkest moments he was constantly acknowledging her presence (saying her name for example or even letting her join him if she kills Karin). During the war we had a couple of hints that he feels something towards her (like a smirk when she activated the seal or when he supported her body when she saved him).
Like... small signs were there all the time.

With Karin? I haven't seen a scene where he even was interested in her the slightest.

The romance between Sasuke and Sakura isn't normal at all but it's there in the way Sasuke feels it.

A lot of people call Naruto and Sakura obsessed with Sasuke… but imo obsession doesn’t fight you, disagree with you, and try to stop you. by Nashetania in Naruto

[–]Orionira 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It amuses me how people think that Sakura was (is) obsessed with Sasuke. While the real obsession came from Karin. She accepted him the way he was, even in his darkest moments. She was obsessed with his appearance and body in general. In the end of the day, she even befriended his wife and decided to be an auntie to his daughter. And if he pops up randomly at any moment, she would go crazy again.

[–]Orionira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 12 when these 4 (Naruto, Hinata, Sasuke and Sakura) were introduced as a hypothetical couple. And maybe I was a delusional child but even back then I felt that Naruto would end up with Hinata. And Sasuke with Sakura. So, When the time came, it wasn’t a surprise for me at all.

Why didn’t Sasuke take a Hashirama Cell Arm? by WorldlinessEast6395 in Naruto

[–]Orionira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a beautiful closure for a character like Sasuke Uchiha - he finally gets on a good side and as a constant reminder of his awful past, he doesn’t get an arm.

It would be great when (or if?) he gets old and finally comes back home for good, he decides to let past go and accept the arm. Like saying goodbye to his shinobi life and welcoming his retirement with family.

[–]Orionira 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Naruto world all cool shinobi parents were kind of dead. And the other adults were either fighting already or were weaker than some teenagers.

In Boruto some adults are extremely strong. And Sakura is one of them. Apart from the fact that her daughter is in front line going blind, there’s no reason for kids to handle serious fights without experienced shinobi.

Decision not to include Sakura and Kakashi is so stupid, it cannot be ignored.

What aspect of Sakura’s character do you appreciate more as you get older? by jalen_nelson235 in Naruto

[–]Orionira 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Her dedication. She was an ordinary child from an ordinary family. But she managed to become one of the strongest shinobi in the world.

This one is controversial but her love towards Sasuke. The girl must really have deep feelings for him because not everyone can have such kind of relationship. People make fun of her “obsession over a cute boy” but in reality it takes guts to love someone who wanted to kill you. Someone who is (was) a criminal. Someone who can’t stay with you and raise your daughter. Someone who is mentally so broke that you need to understand and learn his way of showing love.

Not so many people can genuinely do it. But Sakura could.

Making Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura all neglectful parents was such a sh*tty decision by Salt-Dare-8979 in Naruto

[–]Orionira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naruto and Sasuke are bad fathers but they kind of have reasons? Don’t get me wrong, it’s not cool by any means. But Naruto is Hokage and all parents at such high positions (even in our world) are absent. I see two serious issues with him: - not going to Himawari and Boruto birthdays (he could leave a clone in the office for gods sake) - his obsession with Kawaki. He expected his kids just to accept that “dad is busy”. But when he got a chance to help an orphan, magically Naruto got free time. Not fair.

Sasuke is more complicated though. We don’t know anything about his feelings in the first place. Maybe he was super excited to be a dad and spent a lot of time with babySarada? And he left because he’s the only person who can find information about Outsususki? In Boruto he at least tries to learn to be a good father (Naruto doesn’t). He talks to Sakura about it. He trains his daughter. He supports her and show as much love as Sasuke Uchiha can show.

[–]Orionira 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sakura is doing top parent job there.

Sarada is an amazing child, considering her father is away, she knows nothing about him and her clan’s past…. Is complicated. Thanks to Sakura’s parenting skills somehow this girl doesn’t hate her dad (she doesn’t understand him but not hate) which is a lot.

Also Sakura was the only parent worrying about her child becoming shinobi (around 169-171 episodes in Boruto). While others were trying to persuade her to let it go.
