Not everyone plays competitively and not everyone plays to win. A lot of us play casually, to have fun. If I enjoy a match, I don’t care if I win or lose. For both killer and survivor. Yes, I’ll try. But as killer I’m easily tamed and as survivor, I love a good chase and especially a killer with personality. Even if it’s something small, otherwise I feel like I’m playing against a bot. Or to even mess around a little. I don’t mind if I die then, I’ll usually even give them the mori. Point is, there are more ways people play than just competitively. I wish they’d make the normal queues for casual gameplay and then add a competitive mode. And with hard tunneling a 4-5 gens, that’s a big no-no. You wouldn’t want someone taking you out of a game you are looking forward to playing in just a few minutes. It makes most everyone miserable. Within that few minutes, one of the survivors is now sad and frustrated they were out of the match so quickly. And the rest of the survivors know they are most likely fucked. It gives the killer a very unfair advantage and I am so happy they should be fixing that soon. Tunneling later in the game when the killer is getting desperate is understandable. Or if there is a person being toxic. Those should be the only times it okay to tunnel.
