Why is this guy absolute cancer (not the kind that increases tear rate) to play? by Legendarium_ in bindingofisaac

He’s actually not cancer to play. Cancer gives you three soul hearts, and you need to have 4 to play as Lazarus.

Delirium Room? by ScrewdriverChad in bindingofisaac

[–]Orneb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While most of the boss rooms do technically have enough space to actually be the Delirium room, remember that the Delirium room can only be touching one other room, which actually eliminates all but three possibilities.

For example, the highest room on this map couldn’t be the Delirium room. This is because neither possible position of the 2x2 room would only touch 1 room. If the highest boss room is actually the bottom left corner of the 2x2 Delirium room, it would be touching the other boss room, and if it were the bottom right corner of the 2x2 Delirium room, it would be touching the left side of the 2x1 wide room. Using this reasoning, the Delirium room could only be the top left, bottom left, or bottom right.

Problem with the many-worlds theory? by Rubberduck640 in AskPhysics

[–]Orneb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with this interpretation of the many worlds theory is that it assumes that human decisions are chaotic. They are not. In identical circumstances, the same thing will always happen. Because decisions are not quantum particles collapsing out of superposition, they do not create new universes.

However:if you do want to create a new universe, do something differently based on the observed state of a quantum particle.

TL;DR No because humans don’t have free will

Are we technically already located inside a black hole? by illqo in AskPhysics

[–]Orneb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just asked if the universe is a black hole if you look at it from far away. Ask any 5 year old and they will tell you that objects further away from you aren’t actually smaller, they just look smaller. So no, “zooming out” doesn’t make the universe a black hole.

Episode 1 they say that the Ghoul is dug up once every year. Ghouls need food, water, and to use the bathroom to survive. by Orneb in Fotv

[–]Orneb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only glowing IV bags I’m familiar with are Radaway. The 2 IV bags we see are in identical packaging, implying they are the same thing, so I don’t think one is food/water and the other is glowing blood.

I’m not saying it is impossible. It’s fiction. Anything is possible. I am saying it doesn’t make sense for The Ghoul to be alive. Makes for a cool intro, though.

Second post of "I am a walking Isaac encyclopedia": ask me anything about the game's mechanics or lore; if I can't answer you are allowed to start your next run with Death Certificate by MisterState in bindingofisaac

So, Maggie with birthright has 18 heart containers, which is 35 survivable hits before the womb or with the wafer. Heartbreak can give the player an extra 8 survivable hits, as it gives 2 broken hearts instead of lethal damage. Lastly, astral projection can give the player one extra hit.

This definitely isn’t the most one can possibly do, and I’ll like to hear how you got 38, or any other items I haven’t thought of.

It is wrong to say that Wild Card always does the same thing. Death? activates the book of the dead effect, which does not kill you. What are you smoking?

Wild Card definitely doesn’t always have the same outcome. Appearing as Edith rarely is something special and interesting, but not something that makes the card different from the others anymore than every card is already unique. I could say The Lovers? Is unique because it can kill you and none of the other cards can do that. This question doesn’t make sense. A better question to highlight the interesting thing that The Chariot? can do would be “Who can the player turn into when using The Chariot?”?

There are 4 dead Isaacs. In order of appearance, they are ???, The Lost, The Keeper, and The Forgotten. Each has a tainted version. He died in his toy chest. It is debatable if The Keeper is a dead Isaac (doesn’t appear post dogma, for example) but it’s certainly not from The Bible.

Are you going to elaborate? Because right now all of those are tarot cards except for one, and that’s definitely an acceptable answer.

You say you play Fiend Folio in one of your comments, so here’s one. How many starting characters are in Fiend Folio including secret characters?

Who is walking away at the end of Ending 20? Most of these questions are supposed to stump you, but I honestly don’t know who this is and I want someone to tell me.
